Mornings like this 🌻

I tell myself to come here more often, yet, here we are, not here often. Within myself, or the lines of my journal.

The new year begins within close to twenty-four hours. Another year. Closing up on three. And one. Anniversaries aren’t always what they seem. Ones you couldn’t possibly dream of as a younger child.

I feel myself, as a child, looking at who I am now. Confused. As if the two do not know one another. But, I am her and she is me.

How can we get to know each other?
