I've decided to revive this project, but in a different form.
I just sent in my request to AO3 to get an account. With working on my big project, I decided that Heritage would be more feasible as a regular fanfiction rather than a full fan comic.
Obviously it won't be updated very often, as I will be busy working on [not spoiling the name just yet]. But it's better than nothing, right?
neurotypical people get so uncomfortable when you mention conversation scripting. personally, i think you're a freak for doing improv all the time. don't involve me in your theater kid bullshit.
Yes. I know, I know. I only ever got one issue out of it.
Here's the thing. I VASTLY underestimated how long even one issue would take to create.
If I've done my math correctly, this project would have taken DECADES to finish.
I'm only one guy with one mortal lifespan. I really don't have time to be working on this.
It really sucks 'cause I had the whole story planned out and everything. New friends, new enemies, even some familiar faces. All down the drain unfortunately.
I'm not happy that I have to do this. I would have really loved to continue work on this project. I was so excited to show everyone where the story was gonna go.
BUT. For my own sake. I sadly have to stop working on this comic...
And start working on another one.

See, I've had a story in my mind for a while (practically since I was a kid). This is a story that I've thought about every day for damn near a DECADE!
It went through so many iterations and rewrites as I grew up, and it's been just underneath the surface, waiting to come out!
Working on Heritage has made me realize that if I'm gonna spend a majority of my life working on a comic, I'd rather it be my own creation rather than a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction.
I don't know if I can make it work, or if the premise even has merit to begin with.
But GOD DAMMIT I GOT HOPES AND DREAMS THAT NEED TO BECOME REALITY!!!!!
And who knows? Maybe in the future I can return to this project once I feel like I can take it on. Only time will tell.
SO DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL, AND BUCKLE UP, BUTTERCUP!
