Got the Date Wrong
Leaving social media October 28th
Serving a Mission 10/29
Hey everyone! As some of you know, I am leaving to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will not be on social media from October 29th until I return from my mission in at least 18 months. I am gonna miss a lot of you, though. I am going to set up an email list for weekly updates for those who’d like to hear from me (mutuals/close friends only). I’ll be queuing this regularly because I know I’m super forgetful.
So about Hero Crew….
As much as I love it, I don’t think I’m quite ready to tell this story yet. It’s a story I started in middle school, and I think that the amateur writing really shows through. It’s still a story that’s very close to my heart, and I’d love to publish the whole thing someday. But right now, I’m just not ready. It’s a really big story and I noticed I was rewriting certain important parts while I was still posting pages, which I don’t like. I’m going to leave it on hiatus until I feel like I’m ready to keep going with it, even though that may be a long time. Until then, I’m going to do some shorter comics to get more comfortable with actually making comics. Making comics is hard and I want to practice it more so I can make Hero Crew as best as I can. I’ll still be drawing Hero Crew content because I love those characters, I just won’t be uploading regular pages for now. It’s not dead yet.
I don’t really know how to explain it, but I feel this push to go serve a mission. I know it’s not going to be easy, and I won’t have access to a lot of stuff I’m used to. But I know this will be good for me. There’s a lot I’m going to miss, not gonna lie. But I have faith that I’ll find a way to adjust and be okay in the end. 18 months go by fast, I’ll be back before you know it! If you see me post anything, it’s something I queued from a long while back.

Addendum here, I’m genuinely proud of being able to put out even one chapter of Hero Crew. I don’t want to stop, but because I want HC to be as good as it can, I’m going to stop it so I can work on it. Thank you to those who’ve supported me through all the previous rewrites.
