A get out of jail free card was something he could very easily offer, within reason at least. He knew Amelia liked to get into trouble but there was a difference between doing something dangerous and hurting someone. As long as she didn’t bring harm to others, Ben was willing to help her out. ❝ baby boy ? ❞ Small blush rises on his cheeks as eyes widen but he’s quick to brush it off with a laugh and a small smirk. ❝ it sounds like you spend a lot of time staring at others as well, what’s your reasoning ? ❞ The question isn’t asked with judgement but rather, curiosity. Ben has never been too much of a people watcher, it seems like he’s never had the time. His brain is always filled with the next thing he has to do. Leading the way, he glances back at her, ❝ i you think might be severely disappointed. it’s mostly just blue and gold. ❞ It doesn’t take long to reach the door that he’s sure will soon be very familiar and with ease, he slips the key in before pushing it open and motioning for her to enter.
Ah - finally, the one that pulled at some strings. Amelia was always interested in finding nicknames that could make people tick, whether it made them mad, flustered, lustful... That was on them, but she liked to know what it was whatever reaction it brought forth. For Ben, being called baby boy made him flustered. A note she had taken and put away for later, something that would no doubt make reappearances throughout their lifetime. It would be fun to use it around others, throw him off his game for a few seconds. "Me?" She hummed, tilting her head. "Well, you see, Wonderland is quite different than Auradon. And the people of Wonderland are quite different than the people of this world. I was raised there, you know... So whenever my mother would bring me back, I would study how people acted, to see how I was supposed to behave." She admitted, pushing her hands into the pockets of the pants she wore. "I got weird looks all the time because I wasn't quite like everyone else. I'm bonkers, entirely so, I'm afraid that it's just something that everyone in Wonderland is. Bonkers, entirely insane. My mother had been treated differently for that, too. She told me about it. I didn't really... Like the idea of being judged over a place, I loved so dearly, for acting like the people that I cared most for — by people who meant nothing to me. But once I got an idea of what these people want, how they wanted me to act, I didn't want to be that person either. It wasn't me, wasn't real and authentic. Nothing about how any of the Princesses act is authentic. So, I was unapologetically me. And now I watch people because it interests me. I'm curious about what makes people tick," a hand raised, tapping her index finger against her temple. "There's nothing any more behind it. Besides, since I'm unapologetically me, not many people interact with me much. I have a lot of free time on my hands." A laugh fell from her lips, entering the office, curious eyes dancing around it. "Okay, spill the tea, Benny Boo. What secret thing do you need my help with? I can't see you looking to steal something or play pranks, so."
