My take on a Jojo Shattered Glass AU (Good and Evil sides swapped) Pt.1 Phantom Blood
Prelude Pt.0
A poor struggling man in deep debt named Dario Brando comes across a carriage crash. He finds, the corpse of Mary Joestar and looks at the Ring for identification. Then notices her still living Husband and son George, and Johnathan Joestar. The Former wakes up under the assumption that Dario saved his life, and in thanks gave him a check to Cash out at the Joestar Banks. Dario forgets to return the ring.
However, upon further investigation on the Joestar family. Dario finds out that the Joestar's are a monstrous family fueled by blood money, committing multiple heinous acts in the shadow and threatens to sink their hands into England till they have more power than the crowd. He never returns the ring, nor does cash the check under fear it would put him under the debt of a worse monster.
He would keep this a secret until he was on his deathbed, with a sudden unknown illness. Soon to die he confessed the existence of the Joestar to his bright, charismatic, prideful yet kind son Dio Brando. Dio tried to help his father with his skills and wisdom he acquired on Ogre Street; a refuge the poor and impoverished, and the assistance from an Ogre Street doctor by the name of Wang Chan. But to no avail. But with the Joestar family still threatening to damn England to under their heel, Dio enters himself into the Joestar family by using the 'debt’ they owe Dario on a mission to reform/takedown the family from within.
Meanwhile George Joestar has been raising and training Johnathan "Jojo" Joestar, to be the model Joestar likes him, powerful, ruthless, cunning, but with an eir of sophistication and a stoic approach. Johnathan eventually became truly loyal to his bloodline and tried to model himself as the leader. This is displayed when he met a bullied girl by the name of Erina, treating her like a gentleman before sadistically crippling the bullies and framing their parents, seducing Erina to his immoral ways as well.
Dio arrived at the Joestar’s home now adopted, not making the best first impression when he attacked the dog in self defense. But he later got on George’s good side when he showed how he can adapt and copy to their etiquette and conduct, and a successful facade of wickedness. This lead to George giving more attention to Dio, leaving Johnathan by himself. While in turn, Dio kept his own eyes on Johnathan hoping that less exposure to his Father's grooming and more experience with decent common folk would improve him.
Johnathan struggles, in his new environment and even second guesses himself following the Joestar way until Erina comes back developed as an equally twisted soul. The two would fall in love which prompted DIo to try to seduce her away from the path she’s going. However it didn’t work, it was a trap that Johnathan created with her to bait Dio out, as he tortured his classmates and held them hostage.
Dio figures this out and in a fit of rage, beats up Johnathan with his bare hands, managing to save as many hostages as he can. George intervenes before things can take a turn for the worse for either of them.
Johnathan swears to come out as the head Joestar, planning on abusively training Danny into a more lethal guard dog, Dio hears this and releases Danny, telling George that he killed him because it was making Johnathan softer which he accepts. He also recognizes the threat of Johnathan, his brother he's been far too corrupted by the Joestars so Dio would have to lay low for much longer.
Seven years later both brothers are grown up and have seemingly gotten along better to the public. With the boys fully grown George announces his plans to revolutionize the Joestar family, and advance their power starting with the destruction of Ogre Street. Dio now resorts to teaming up with Wang Chan to discretely poison his adoptive father.
Johnathan in the meantime studies a stone mask artifact. Noticing its spikes that react to blood, he believes he can use the mask as a key tool in the destruction of Ogre Street as an execution method, and tests it out on a civilian. The civilian had a strange reaction; their body disintegrated immediately in sunlight. Johnathan couldn't find a use for it yet but within his attempt his ruthlessness, cunning and even sophistication catches the respect of aspiring criminal Robert EO Speedwagon.
Dio managed to notices this and even spots a brief transformation in the victim right before they disintegrated, Dio steals the mask for himself and in further investigation he realizes that the mask can be modified to alter people’s bodies and could help them survive most fatalities allowing the to seem dead. He masters a method to augment it with Wang Chan as his first and successful test subject. However when he returns, Johnathan and Speedwagon exposes Dio’s plans to George whom hesitantly orders to have his men execute Dio.
Before issuing the execution, Johnathan taking his father’s ideas and vision of a revolution of the Joestar’s power to heart, kills his father, promising a new era to the family, and telling George his death is required since he's old and weak, telling his susceptibility to Dio's deceit is evidence. In his last moments, George understand Johnathan explaining he thought Dio would be a better addition, when he found out Dario took his late wife’s wedding ring and assumed he was the type of man to steal it.
After abruptly taking his place as the head Joestar, Johnathan plans to personally execute Dio, by evolving himself into a Vampire, but at the last moment a powered up Wang Chan saves Dio, letting him to use the mask instead, despite his power the impromptu use briefly had Dio overwhelmed with power allowing Johnathon the upperhead and enough time to figure out the mask's weakness. Dio managed to hold off Johnathan as the mansion collapses in flames and Wang Chan and Speedwagon save their respective partners.
Dio spends his recovery time in Ogre Street helping people recover from damages the Joeatars have done. Further tampering with the masks to grant them enhanced vitality and control his vampiric urges. He even learns how to make artificial golem-like servents, even some able to house lingering spirits. The first two spirits he summoned were knights of Elizabeth I, Bruford and Tarkus. The Knights died trying to protect Elizabeth queen from Mary Queen of Scotts, and promised to protect her country even in death, which fueled their resolve to return. They even teach Dio, on how to use this power to control others such as the infamous Jack the Ripper.
The Ripper was commanded to be a watchman, and he eventually scouted Johnathan’s return with Erina and Speedwagon, from outside the street. Johnathan recently learned a powerful technique called Hamon the power to simulate the energy from the sun into their blood. Turning them fatal to any who even use a bit of the mask. Taught by Hamon master William A.Zepelli a tutor from a Hamon clan whose goal was to dominate the original vampires, and now return to finish the mission. Dio manages to learn more about Hamon when watching the fight and meets Poco, a kid who wants to help Dio. Dio uses hypnosis to allow him courage and acrobatic skills, and redirect Johnathan and his allies away from Ogre Street where Hamon can't threaten any mask users.
Dio gets a letter by Johnathan saying that they've kidnapped Poco and will kill him unless he meets them outside Windknight’s lot, Dio arrives with Bruford and Tarkus. Johnathan and his allies show up and reveal that it’s a trick and Poco was always on Johnathan’s side, the Hamon users attack Dio, but to their surprise, Dio predicted this ambush and developed an ability to freeze his body, stopping blood flow and countering Hamon. Leading Bruford and Tarkus to fight their enemies off. The heroes seem to have the upper hand until Johnathan gets his arms unfrozen, and uses Hamon hypnosis to overload Bruford’s artificial body with Hamon driving his spirit mad and turn on Dio. Johnathan and leaves Buford to kill Dio, but Dio finishes him off, gives his spirit a farewell as it now must go towards the afterlife. Dio chases after his enemies with Tarkus but then Zeppeli traps the group in a castle. Zeppeli boasts about a prophecy he learned from his master where he will kill one of them, but Tarkus sacrifices himself to distract Zepelli, so Dio can kill him as well as send Johnathan’s group out of the castle setting it as his Base.
Johnathan comes back with a series of other Hamon users, as Dio finds more valiant souls inside the castle to recruit, Johnathan and Dio learn of each other’s upcoming attacks, with Poco’s sister in the castle and Dio’s Adams acting as a scout outside.
The big fight arrives, Johnathan and his Hamon using allies, as well as a series of hypnotized citizens bursts through the castle out for Dio’s head. Dio manages to hold back Johnathan’s allies with his own strategically placed vampires, golem-zombies, and traps to delay the team. This ultimately leads into a final showdown with Dio and Johnathan. Johnathan believes he’s got the upper hand and stabs Dio through his body. But Dio escapes by cutting his living head off, and destroying the entire castle, the Hamon users now have seemingly been destroyed, and the Joestar's name is one to be forever disgraced in England's History.
But, months later a pregnant Erina managed to get herself a ship by bribing then murdering Father Styx, using what's left of Johnathan's research to head to a hidden island that might help him. However Dio knew about this and went on the ship with Wang Chan, then attached his head to Father Styx. To his surprise as well Johnathan also survived and the brothers have one final duel Johnathan dies in the coffin while holding and sealing Dio's Head. Dio blows up the entire ship in his last efforts.
Erina survives, but notices another ship that was called by Dio to follow them, on board was Wang Chan who escaped the blown up ship. Now holding the map that was headed towards the location,
of the Pillar Men.
