So...I've been working on something, and sorry followers of the CATS fandom, it's not related. It's for another fandom. It's specifically Persona 3.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/62541313
I've been working on this for a while now. It's for one of my preferred ships, and it's Akiham. I have some history with this, seeing how I'm the writer of Dragon's Fool. I intend for this to be more of a drabble collection, but I think so far it will be more linear until I hit a certain point.
I will be using a combination of Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable, and Persona 3 Reload. I waited until now to reveal this on here, mainly because most people on here know me as a CATS fandom poster. I am multifandom, you know.
A belated birthday (to me) giveaway. I may be late, but never say never.
This time around, the winner will receive:
-ONE Original Broadway Cast Recording on Vinyl
-ONE VHS copy of the 1998 video, nearly fully sealed (it's never come out of the plastic, the top has just slowly worn open - I've also tucked a bonus inside)
-ONE Broadway opening night brass ticket keychain
-ONE pin from the run in Zurich
-ONE collectible mug from England
-ONE mystery scene keychain from Shizuoka / Hiroshima / Sendai 2024-2025 (ft. Jellylorum and Gus the Theatre Cat)
-ONE Designer's Workshop Magazine (2003), featuring a whole plethora of images and behind the scenes information from the Japanese tour
RULES (Please read these carefully and follow them):
Entries will open today (JANUARY 28TH give or take the midnight mail) and will close FEBRUARY 4TH - in one week. You can enter at any time between now and then, but anything after than date will not be counted.
ONE entry per person - when you reblog THIS post, you will be assigned a random number, and the receiver will be picked by a random generator. Likes do not count as entries. You do not need to be following in order to enter. Multiple reblogs will not give you a higher chance - we want to make it fair for everyone. Entry doesnāt guarantee receiving, please play fair!
Shipping within North America will be easier for me, but I am willing to open this up to individuals overseas. HOWEVER, if you are picked and you are overseas, I would very much appreciate you going in half on any shipping/postage charges if they are ridiculous (and sometimes they are). Any import fees will most likely settle on the receiver, so please keep that in mind.
Obviously, you must be alright with providing me with shipping information - rest assured you will be providing me this information in confidence and I will not share it with anyone. If you are not comfortable sharing this information, thatās completely alright, but please do not enter as I wonāt be able to send it to you.
A winner will be selected on February 4th, and will receive a message indicating that theyāre getting a present. I will try to get it shipped out to you as soon as I can afterwards, and give an update once that happens.
I will do my absolute best to ensure the items arrive to the winner, but once itās handed over to the post office, itās unfortunately out of my hands.
I agree, but add that Bomba is barely shorter than Jelly, to the point where at first glance they looked the same height but as you look at them more you see the slight height difference.
My headcanon is that Koromaru used to be a service dog. Maybe the shrine priest who owned him previously had a disability or mental illness that required a service animal/ emotional support animal, and that's why Koromaru is more attentive and responsive than normal animals. He even wears a vest like service dogs do. idk if the rest of the fandom feels this way but this just makes sense to me
In honour of me hitting 500 followers here earlier this month and opening night in Shizuoka today, and after a bit of organization of my merchandise āarchivesā once more, I have some 'Secret' Charms to give away, along with my signature extra, a sealed highlights CD from the 2019 movie!
The winner will get three (3) charms picked at random from a blind bag of my extras, which include:
Carbucketty
Cassandra
Gilbert
Growltiger
Jellylorum
Mungojerrie
Old Deuteronomy
Victoria
All of them are brand new with the folding card-backed display, and were only opened to determine which character they were. See photos of them below, along with what a typical full presentation looks like in the form of Victoria.

I took a class on Death and Dying, and now I'm having thoughts on Persona 3
So I'll admit that I'm a Persona fan. My favorite one is Persona 3, which, for most of my current followers, didn't know I was even a fan. I've watched let's plays of P3FES (not fully), P4G (fully), and P5/P5R(not fully, but I watched Tom Fawkes stream him playing Royal when it came out fully), and I have played at least a bit of each of them. I want to at least finish my playthrough of P3P (female route) before I even decide to get a PS5 and get P3Reload (and Monster Hunter Wilds). And I had thoughts.
I would like to warn you that this does have some heavy topics, and if thatās not your cup of tea, then itās okay that you ignore this. I have to get this out somehow, with the thought bugging me until I wrote it out.
This was a thought I had, thanks to one of the college classes Iāve taken recently, called āDeath and Dyingā. Yes, that is the classās title. In the course description, it is āA study of the dying process, death ceremonies, and rituals in many cultures from past to present, with an emphasis on Western Civilization.ā I know that this is a heavy thing for a lot of people, but I had to take this course for the certification Iām working towards.Ā This thought came from my latest class (at the time I started typing this rant) about how we could talk to and prepare children about loss, and we were given books for children on death, with various ways death could be explained to them. One book had a two-page section on how funerals were performed in different cultures, and I remember reading somewhere, it may have been a fanfic, about how Japan does cremations. I have no idea what the history is, but I can see why. And then I remember, āWait, Iām a Persona 3 fan. What does this knowledge I now know put into context of what the characters went through in the gameās backstory?ā If this is your first introduction of some of my liked video games, hi, Iām HeroofFire101, and Iām the writer of the unfinished fanfic Dragonās Fool. I currently still have a half-finished chapter left before I post the next chapter and several half-written scenes in the fanfic. The reason why I never finished it is writerās block. I slid back into more Persona fics because Reload came out and it reminded me about some things. (Iām not talking about it). But what does this knowledge made me have this thought?
It's mainly how Yukari has, spoiler warning to those who havenāt completed her social link, issues with her mother, specifically how her mother basically went AWOL after her dad died in the game and story. Iām not going to lie, I donāt know a thing about the Japanese culture, but I do know is that with how sudden her dad died ingame, (and the MC/FeMCās parents), how was Yukari informed about his death? These four books we looked at in class, they each had a purpose, three of them talked about death in different ways. One uses animal motifs, one humanizes it, one I think that it should be used for around middle to high school aged children because of the illustrations are so out of place for me (and I never really was into what most kids watched back in the early 2000s). The fourth book was actually more of a workbook on letting kids process their grief (fascinating book, for 6ā12-year-olds and published in 1988. I like it). This is where the thought gave me. Did anyone use anything to help explain death to these characters, especially Yukari?!? Hell, even Mitsuru should have been helped due to her being a fucking victim. Donāt get me wrong, I love these characters, but were they introduced to the concept of death after the explosion at the Kirijo Lab that caused the Dark Hour as children? I know, this is coming from a fan from America, but did something cause the adults around them (not counting Mitsuruās father and Itusuki, they have exceptions for VASTLY different reasons) to forget to help the children. The Teacher of the course, an actual preacher (trust me, I was surprised at first, but also helped realized that he may be the best teacher for this course), said that, with a story to illustrate it, children either get really clinging or very withdrawn to the point of anger at remaining parent/friend/themselves. Yukari is one of those kids who withdrawn herself, and thanks to her motherās reaction and subsequent actions, distanced herself, probably for the better. Again, before the game even started, we have context within her backstory. As fans of the game, we can create stories using the information given to us, even create AUs of this beloved game. I just want to share this information and thought I had while in class.
If you made it to the end, thank you for reading, and Iāll be haunting the Persona 3 tag. I donāt know if Iāll post more on Persona 3, but Iāll at least read the posts.
For those of you who follow me in the Cats fandom, I may be posting a rant that is certainly NOT part of my Cats content. It is, however, related to one of the other fandoms I'm a part of. I just wanted to give some warning for something that is what you followers consider out of character for what I've consistently posted up until now.
*looks through notes app on phone* Letsseehere...Bomba is one of the few cats who can keep up with Tugger's thought process and vice versa, they are at the most comfortable with touching each other, Bomba is known to be "picky" even though Tugger is just as "picky", They are somehow the favorite adults of the kittens, most of all Jemima and Victoria's favorites. I could write an entire post of my many headcanons for them, especially for Human AUs (I have multiple versions of human Tuggerlurina). I even have separate ones for Bombalurina and Tugger.
Oh yes, Bombalurina is absolutely the cat who can read Tugger perfectly. She always knows when he's upset, even if he's doing a good job of hiding it from everyone else. Similarly, Bombalurina is also a hard card for the others to read, but Tugger can keep up with her and is always the first to question what's wrong, even if on the outside she is acting completely normal.
I also think the two are the couple in the Junkyard who are the most casually affectionate. They always have their paws on one another, and it isn't even a conscious thing they do. Bomba stroking at Tugger's mane nonchalantly, Tugger having an arm around her shoulder as they're lounging around the clearing. The Jellicles are already touchy-feely with one another, but these two are on a whole other level.
This is an opinion of mine, but I donāt see Bombalurina as someone who represses her emotions. Instead, I see her as someone who struggles to express her emotions. This is along the line of my Autistic Bombalurina headcanons. I found that in my own experience, expressing my emotions is sometimes hard. There are only four cats I think that can actually tell the expanse of her tells are Gus the Theater Cat, Asparagus Jr., Tugger, and Demeter. Munkustrap is close but still struggles to understand her minute expressions. Rumpleteazer is up there as well, but only with supporting when she gets overwhelmed (see this post). Jemima is a lot more expressive with her emotions, though not by much (Victoria and Plato are very aware of reading her emotions besides the four other cats that can read Bomba). Basically, I personally headcanon Bomba as struggling to express her emotions. The emotions that most of the tribe does see are fondness, happiness, absolute disgust (mainly whenever Macavity is mentioned), and of course, flirty. She knows this, and as the Heir to the Theater Cat, she has received theater training from her grandfather Gus. She may not know how to express her emotions naturally, but she can force herself to express her emotions (I may be explaining this badly but I'm open to suggestions). Gus, Jr., and Bomba all have a Fool's face.
inspired by boop day, reblog this post if its ok for people to send you random asks and interact on your posts with no judgement. i want to talk to people.
Cats caracter that is overlooked by the fandom? Why?
My brain instantly thought of Plato/Admetus
I just feel like the poor tom is forgotten a lot of the time. Someone even did a whole appreciation week for the other cats in his age group and he just... wasn't included?? That honestly really bothered me.
Plato/Admetus has SUCH a good design, too. He's just such an awkward but good-hearted tom who loves his mate and his tribe. I have so many fun headcanons for him, and he has so much potential in terms of backstory.
