Notes on the Redesign Under Cut
wanted to make the longer trailing bits of fur more noticble in her design so i exaggerated her face, ear, and tail fur a bit more
as for her hair, I still wanted her to feel bubbly, but I wanted to incorporate the longness of her design more.So I ended up giving her like braids with bubble braids at the bottom.But still keeping her original hairstyle on the top.Because I thought it was cute<3
I actually changed how the top in skirt lines.Connected, because I wanted it to feel more organic with the lines.Because I thought it would distinguish her from the others more
I'm probably still going to adjust the colors more.But I ended up changing the colors of her wetsuit to be darker and lighter colors of the classic octonauts boot color
I did this because even though the suit that I originally used from the Surfing episode of the show was complimentary to her main outfit. I found that the yellow on the sides matched her skirt and shirtlining too much. And that it was too visually melted together
i just mostly wanted to emphasize it being fun. And playful yet, keeping her long and streamlined along with the visually nice pop from her layered fur :3
I just discovered I can use speech to text for writing post and honestly.This might be a game changer for me😭
I do wanna keep playing with her hairstyles.Because I feel like she would probably change it.A lot and also I love textured hair.And it deserves more love so🥰
She probably would tie the braids together on a mission.Just so that it's easier to manage underwater
i also felt like having the long braids. Would be good to tie into the longness of her design? And I think that, as I continue to stylize my art style that I'm gonna try to push these different body shapes more

I didn't put this in there because I forgot, but she does still have colored nails and non metal bracelets (because we all know that barracutas love shiny metal...)

I still think this look is very cute and I like it a lot, but the more I develop her character, the more specific features I wanna add to match.

tldr, I have a plethora of thoughts about the way policy and governance would work in the world of Octonauts. People need to eat, but there is a moral dilemma with that.

Context: My Shellington was the last to join the original Octonauts team and for the first year of it all he was super awkward and shy, fresh out of ✨️bad-home-life and college trauma✨️ and straight into the organization via his former teacher's, Professor Inkling's, suggestion/recommendation. Even though it's his first job ever, he ends up loving it and is glad he didn't lose any years he had on other work that he instead spent with his friends and new and better family :]
Also, I headcanon that due to his navy background/influence (almost 15 years so quite strong), Barnacles is much more professional, and especially to newcomers, and since he himself is a bit shy towards strangers in a non-buisness setting (i.e. socializing with your new employees), so for the longest time and even sometimes now when he's just feeling a little iffy that day he'll refer to his friends by their Mr./Ms. titles (and it's a pretty nifty way to tell when he's upset)
And yes, Peso and Inkling are there, I just didn't wanna draw em lol

I hate to say it, but I don't think Morty would've been THAT much better off without Rick. If Rick never showed up, his parents would've kept neglecting him, his classmates would've kept ignoring him, and he would've grown up to be a sad, lonely adult with a dead-end job and a vague sense of bitterness toward the people who wronged him.
That doesn't mean Rick's abuse was GOOD for him, but Rick didn't exactly barge into a happy childhood, either. Morty was doomed to be a non-factor in everyone's lives.
People keep saying they want Morgan and Karadec to get together already, and they are missing the point. They need at least 2 ndes, one relationship failing because of the other, a divorce era. Someone here needs to be buried alive or driven of a bridge and Karadec needs to have a going of the books for Morgan's kids plot. Someone definitely needs to get shot. We haven't had a cop slow burn like this a while, let them hit the tropes before getting a dramatic getting together after one of them tries to quit in 3 to 4 seasons.
