We offer circus workshops to children and youth all over the region, in schools, refugee camps and anywhere we can! 4. İM International Social Circus Festival is coming to Mardin. During this event Sirkhane Circus School will host around 80 international people from 18 countries. Some of them are already known in local community from the previous year festival. Circus artists: big group of aerial acrobats, jugglers, clowns, stilts walkers, moviemakers, musicians... We are so happy that we will host artists from afghan Mobile Mini Circus for Children, from the Palestinian Circus School, from ukrainian Platz Art, from armenian Circus and many other groups. With these people from war zones the theme of IM Festival 2014 - PLAY FOR NO WAR is becoming more meaningful with truly strong dimension. Play, not fight - peace through the art. During 20 days of festival kids and local youth will receive intensive workshops and circus trainings. Last 10 days İM circus caravan with amazing shows will pass by the new and old town of Mardin and by small surrounding villages. The best is that kids students are going to perform circus with their teachers. The sandy desert of Mesopotamia will turn to a colourful, noisy, fairytale land. Come everybody to see it!

Sirkhane - Summer Social Circus School finished third week of teaching. Five days in a week we are giving classes for kids. Every day we are discovering new talents, our students are discovering new faces of art and circus, their own skills and possibility. Each minute is bringing a new reasons to smile. One of the favourite activities in school is stilts walking. Soon our young stilts walkers will be known in whole Mardin. Girls love hola hoops, boys are impressed by hand standing. Juggling is going very well, with balls and clubs. The music surprise we are preparing is a "cup song" which teached us all how nice result can give good teamwork.

Bizler Midyat Narlı Köyündeki okulda çocuklarların balonla kendi jungling toplarını yapmayı ve o toplarla jungling yapması için atölye verdik. Çocukların heyecanları ve öğrenme süreçleri cok güzeldi çok yakinda daha fazla atölye verebilmek için bu okula tekrar ziyaretler gerçeklestiriceğiz. Midyat Narlı Köyü school we were teaching and learning, building and playing. Kids made their own baloon juggling balls. After that we were all learning how to juggle. Soon we will back to this lovely school to give more workshops.

Dear All Circus Artists & Musicians around the world As Art Anywhere Association crew (www.heryerdesanat.org) We are proud to anounce  IM International Social Circus Festival 2014 10th-20th September, Mardin, Turkey The theme is “PLAY FOR NO WAR” THE IDEA Mardin is the end of Turkey and begiining of Middle East, It’s in Syria Border, it’s face to Mesopotamia, face to Syria, It’s face to beauty but also face to problems and wars many many years. There is kindness and tolerance but  also discrimination and ignorance In Mardin region there are thousands of children, refugees, youngsters, minorities, local people that havent meet the Assemblers effect of Circus Arts yet. We want to reach at least some of them. Some of those children could be the future circus artists from Mesopotamia, and could spread the joy and peace of circus to where ever it’s needed. They need to meet circus, take lessons, get in touch with world citizens.To bring the peace, harmony, broadmind, diversity, circus disipline, colorfull WE NEED CIRCUS HERE! WE WILL “PLAY FOR NO WAR” The Art Anywhere crew is working voluntary for the 4th year for Social Circus Festival. And have energy for more 4 years...... Every year somehow we found a way to cover artist’s all the costs. This year we can cover super food, accomodation but we have no money for travel costs. September 2013 more than 50 people went out to the Mardin streets to discover the city and also to promote İM Festival. Eylül 2013 ayında elliden fazla kisiyle Mardin sokaklarını kesfetmeye ve Im festivali duyurmaya sokaklara döküldük.

VOICED PHOTOGRAPH (PİNHOLE)

is an action 1.1 project took place in Bismil, Diyarbakir from 15th to 30th of July. It was a first time an international project came true in this place and gave so many unforgettable memories both to the participants and the locals. Project was 15 days and all the participants learned and make their own hand made cameras (pin hole) with very basic tools and learn how to use it. Maybe some people can think Bismil is not the best place to make photos, yes maybe it doesn’t has historical architecture or beautiful landscape but its has very deep social life, culture and sense, differences for Europeans and the participants went deep in the photography art to make ”Voiced Photos” which means it gives message to audience by itself without a word. Social life, portraits, culture of people, etc.. was the main interest of photos. The photos became an exhibition and since the beginning till the end all the group worked as a big team to prepare the exhibition. There were many artistic and technique workshops between the participants they exchanged knowledge and culture by this method and also taking active role in the project. 31 youngsters (age 18-25) from Italy, Sweden, Poland, Malta and Turkey participated to the project, during 15 days was intense cultural exchange between the young people through games, workshops, sight seeing, photo marathons, cultural evenings, final exhibition etc.

KONUŞAN FOTOĞRAFLARPROJESİ Yel Değirmeni Grubu ve Her Yerde Sanat Derneği desteği ile yürütülen “Voiced Photograph” “Konuşan Fotoğraflar” adlı proje 12-24 Temmuz 2013 tarihlerinde Bismil’de Polonya, İtalya, İsveç, Malta ve Türkiye’den 35 katılımcıyla birlikte gerçekleşti.

AB Eğitim ve Gençlik Programları Merkezi Başkanlığı tarafından finanse edilen proje kapsamında katılımcılar el yapımı iğne deliği fotoğraf makinesi (pinhole) yapmayı öğrendiler. Kibrit kutusundan oluşturdukları basit makinelerle Bismil’de sosyal hayat, insan portreleri gibi konular üzerine çalıştıkları fotoğrafları bir sergiye dönüştürdüler. Konuşan Fotoğraflar adlı sergi Bismil Sanat Sokağı’nda sergilendi. Halkın büyük ilgisini toplayan sergi daha sonra Mardin Dilek Sabancı Sanat Galerisinde sergilenerek Mardin halkı ile buluştu.
