You really fucked up this time old man!
your twenties are not "late" to start hrt. that is a normal time to start hrt. your thirties are also a normal time to start hrt. your seventies are pretty late to start hrt, but not too late. like, statistically, that's at the end of the curve. but if you are not dead, it is not too late for hrt.

one of my biggest gripes with the trans community and the discussion of transandrophobia is that its really fucking hard to explain to, without offending/triggering, someone who cant get pregnant, who has never had the ability to get pregnant, and would REALLY LIKE the ability to get pregnant, how pregnancy can be used as an act of violence, ESPECIALLY against trans men, and that its not the same as being forced to impregnate someone, both dysphoria wise or otherwise. like they have wildly different implications. a trans man who is forcibly impregnated is forced to stop testosterone for the duration of the pregnancy, and are often barred from legal abortion more frequently than cis women. his body is changed permanently from the pregnancy, the pregnancy can out him as trans if he is stealth, pregnant people are often times physically dependent on other people after a certain point of the pregnancy which leaves them vunerable to being trapped with an abuser, and a trans man who is dysphoric about pregnancy is going to have to live with that for the duration of the pregnancy, while watching the pregnancy that he did not want permanently change his body. on top of that, it is SO HARD to rebuild a life/career after pregnancy FOR ANYONE, AND ESPECIALLY trans men. theres a reason that forced marriage/pregnancy is such a common and effective detransition tactic against trans men, both in non-western countries but everywhere else too. theres a reason we worry about it so much. these implications simply do not exist for someone who is forced to impregnate someone. its obviously sexual assault and is horrible and it is permanently life ruining but not to the extent that actually being the pregnant party is, and pretending like theyre the same or even comparable is like. its not even transandrophobia its just ridiculous
also even if it's a wanted pregnancy there's various complications that can arise and threaten the birthing parent's life, especially when they don't have access to proper medical care whether that's due to poverty or doctors ignoring their pain as they tend to do for marginalized patients
The medical misogyny & abuse is a big one. Part of the reason why the "freebirth" movement exists is that way too many people who have given birth or just have been to the gynecologist before have massive medical trauma because they were mistreated, didn't have their pain and concerns taken seriously and things explained to them, had decisions made for them without being consulted first, and often were straight up lied to — and marginalized people tend to have the worst experiences. Mind you, childbirth is a scenario where if your doctors are bigoted against you, your chances of dying will be much higher.
Transmasculine identities are, for many of us, deeply rooted in feminism and also an expression of it.
(Internalized) misogyny taught us that we were, by nature of our biology, inferior and limited as to what we would be able to do in life. That our brains were just wired differently, our bodies too small and weak, our minds too fragile to even be able to be equal to men, much else be men/embody masculinity.
Not only that, many of us were also taught things like that body hair makes us look unhygienic and disgusting when we naturally grew it on our bodies, or at a certain age that we should be terrified to leave the home without make-up on and with as much as a little patch of leg or armpit or facial hair visible. Some of us were even taught that our worth as a human being was stored in our attractiveness to straight men and if they didn't want to fuck us, we were nothing.
To be able to overcome that and prove that you are indeed just as capable of being masculine/a man as any cis man and to make the decision to make yourself big, strong, hairy and unfuckable in the eyes of straight men and to be confident and take up space, that takes courage, and a lot of unlearning.
We're taking full advantage of all the freedoms and rights feminists in the past have fought for and shaping our own lives unrestrained by which reproductive organs we happen (not) to have, freeing ourselves from the restraints of society and fighting to be taken seriously and exercise our autonomy regardless of what people will think. It's feminist as fuck. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
In your life, women who hate their bodies and spend most of their money and time on products and services to alter them will tell you that you're being unfeminist by transitioning and should just learn to accept your body as it is. It's important that you don't listen to them.
Here, have a bunch of shitty meme redraws i did poorly to get me out of artblock. Enjoy🫡
