BRAD KAHLHAMER Indian Summer USA 2006 watercolor and ink on paper 45 x 60 inches This work by contemporary American Indian artist Brad Kahlhamer works to evoke personal sentiments of the artists own experience here in the United States. His work is rich in tribal symbolism, and other abstract concepts often associated with "Native Americans." Often the structures in his paintings and drawings highlight a certain journey wherein different "characters" can be seen attached by strands of thought and consciousness to their own selves in other parts. This is a kind of mind set and thought process he refers to as "yondering."
