i kind of hate and do not like robul, and i feel like the ship itself takes away from the attention that romania and bulgaria could get as individuals, and i know most hetalia ships suffer from this but i feel like it happens A LOT in robul especially. like the characters are super overlooked and unpopular but everyone loved the ship. like everyone knows robul and loves robul but nobody actually gives a shit about romania or bulgaria on their own. like nobody likes the actual characters if you catch my drift. except for me i love and adore bulgaria IN SPITE OF robul you will NOT catch me lacking. i’m his biggest and only fan. and i mean that happens to hima too, he is blinded by the yaoi and ignores the characters and only cares about the relationships (which ARE an important part of a character’s writing but STILL). and this happens to many other unpopular hetalia characters that come in pairs but i can only speak about my experience with robul. my condolences to people whose favs are in similar situations.

anyway uhh roundabout way of saying that it pisses me off to look for fanart of bulgaria and ALL of it is him kissing romania. can he perhaps stand in a blank void with no other characters in it for a change.

I love amepan but the reason why so many people hate it now is because there’s nothing much to do with it besides write fluff or smut about them. Unless you change or add some aspects to their character, amepan is boring to write about. Or maybe because many of us are bad writers idk
