i like the female sole survivor’s backstory way more than the male sole survivor’s bc she’s such an underdog. she’s not the military one. she’s probably never even shot a gun before? she used to be a lawyer, which is completely useless in postwar Boston bc courts don’t exist any more

like i just get a big kick out of the idea of the best-prepared, most secretive organization of the Commonwealth getting fucking nuked by an angry suburban mom who just figured out how to reload a gun for the first time like a month ago. getting by on rage and determination alone. who’s that coming through the biotech labs? it’s your elderly boss’s mother, holding a laser rifle incorrectly, squinting because she’s nearsighted and her glasses broke when the bombs fell, and leading a robot insurrection against you.

i was watching something about dover castle and how if a nuclear apocalypse happened during the cold war that the people thinking they were safe nestled away in bunkers in dover’s chalk would eventually get contaminated because the nuclear shit would find a way through the chalk and idk it’d make a cool fallout game because you’d be toddling around the uk and you’d get to the south east and BAM ghouls everywhere
