I have arrived with a project I was so excited for, meant for @levihanfest's Day 5: greek mythology, childhood friends and "I recognised you without even looking at you" of the Levihan week!
The prompts chosen were... well, all of them. Without further ado, here's part 1 of the comic I cooked up. Keep reading for the lore and inspiration.
Inspired by my favourite friendship myth (~350 BC), the story of Damon and Phintias. In the myth, Phintias is accused of and charged with plotting against Dionysius I of Syracuse. He's sentenced to death, but requests to be allowed to bid his farewells to some loved ones first. The king obviously refuses, but his friend, Damon, offers himself as a hostage, agreeing that, should Phintias not return by sunset, he will be executed in his stead.
The rest in part 2 :)
george lucas naming anakin: he'll be named after the greek goddess of inevitability, ananke, who ruled over fate, circumetance, compulsion, to symbolically indicate that luke's fate is bound inexorably in who his father was
george lucas naming obi-wan: belt

LeviHan Week day 2 - Canon Universe / "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this."
@levihanfest thank you so much for organising such a wonderful event!! 💜
Synopsis:
Gabi is shouting now, “Commander Hange is Dead! What is wrong with you?!” When did that happen? How could he not know? How could he not be there? No. He can’t accept this. “Where is she?” he seethes. Gabi stares at him like he’s lost his mind but Levi doesn’t care anymore. “I asked you a question, brat,” he snaps. “Where. Is. She?”
It has been years since the Rumbling and the captain is not the same anymore.
Happy reading!! 💜💚
(though I'm not sure i should be saying that considering this is angst 😅)
Yay, it's Levihan Week! 🥳 I'm bringing you my first entry for this event, for today's prompt "Modern Universe." It's a songfic based on the song "I Love You, I'm Sorry" by Gracie Abrams ✨️ @levihanfest
Read HERE on Ao3.
When Hange confesses her feelings to Levi—her best friend for many, many years—she doesn't get the answer she'd hoped for and walks away believing he could never love her back. Determined to move on, she puts distance between them, trying to convince herself she's okay, that she can let him go. But no matter how much time passes, Levi keeps finding his way back to her, no matter how hard she tries to stop looking back, a constant reminder of what could never be.
Enjoy! 🌅
Levihan week 2026
Day 1 Modern Universe | Paranormal
The pencil glided smoothly along the white thin paper, his skillful hand drawing quick little black strokes almost instinctively.
Erwin had been talking about the next expedition for the last forty minutes, but he had lost his focus halfway through. His mind trailed off freely, drowning him in a golden floaty daydream as he pretended to listen.
He looked over to his left side through the corner of his eye, right to where Hanji was sitting. Their hair was kept untamed and messy, hurriedly tied up in a half ponytail. The afternoon sunrays softened their concentrated expression as they wrote something down on their notebook, slightly biting on their bottom lip, furrowed brows framing their rounded glasses.
“Is everything alright, Levi?”, they asked, curious, suddenly noticing the weight of his gaze upon them. Their eyes were now focused on him, expectant. “What are you doing?”
He huffed, nervous, quickly hiding his own notebook away.
“None of your damn business”, he whispered, voice low so that nobody else would hear.
Hanji let out a shy chuckle, covering their mouth with one of their hands.
“You were drawing, right?”, they guessed, their gaze widening with sheer amusement. Levi dismissed them with a heavy grunt, unwilling to admit it out loud. “I didn’t know you could draw!”
“I didn’t say I was drawing.”, he lied. Hanji, however, wasn’t buying any of it.
“C’mon!”, they poked at him, playful, kicking him from under the table. “Can I see?”
Levi took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure.
“No.”, he hissed. Hanji rolled their eyes at him and tried to turn their attention back to Erwin, who was now listing the soldiers that were next going on the battlefield.
“So mean…”, they complaint, teasingly; black ink scribbling the white canvas of the paper. A knowing smirk escaped past their lips, and Levi couldn’t help but stare, completely dumfounded at the sight.
It was over. Over for good. He couldn’t hide from the obvious anymore, couldn’t pretend not to see it.
He looked once more at the messily finished doodle on the corner of the page laying flat in front of him, his heart aching with realization.
He was so fucked.
.
.
The meeting had ended twenty minutes later than expected. Everyone getting up from their seats in silent hurry, desperate to relegate themselves to their rooms or grab a bite by the mess hall.
Levi shut his notebook close, grabbing it firmly between steady fingers. Hanji was following after him, fumbling clumsily towards the door.
“Aren’t you gonna show me what you drew?”, they insisted, jogging in a desperate attempt to catch up to him.
He didn’t even turn back to look at them.
“Will you ever take no for an answer?”, he complaint.
Hanji laughed, brightly and loud.
“No.”, they assumed, smiling. Levi couldn’t do much else but scoff in response.
“You’re a pain in the ass, did you know?”, he protested, opening the door. Hanji fastened their pace, walking to him quick enough to exit the room before he did.
And quick enough to make him drop his notebook to the floor, too.
“Shit, Levi, I’m so sorry!”, they apologized, bending on their knees to gather the fallen papers, scattered all over. He did the same, hands working swiftly to recover what was his, what no one else was ever supposed to see.
“It’s fine, shitty glasses.”, he stuttered, nervous. His pulse raising and crashing against his ribcage in furious anticipation, towering him with anxiety.
Please. Please. Please.
happy 25th anniversary!
Levi: we're going mattress shopping Hange: and once we get it, we'll have to break it in Erwin, nodding very seriously: mattress trampoline Levi and Hange: Erwin, turning red: wait, no. you were talking about sex.
The Eagle
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door….
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Eagle of the saintly days of yore;
Quoth the Eagle “AMURICUHHHHHHH.”
Merely this and nothing more.
No matter what canon says, these two will always be important to me
