the way the writers were able to completely rehabilitate jayce's public image in season 2 is crazy though. it's like they were sitting there brainstorming like how can we make people like this character? and then one brave soul raised their hand and was like what if we make him completely fucking obsessed with viktor to the point of insane codependency? and by god did it work

it kills me that we have 7-10 years of missing time in between acts 1 and 2 because if jayce and viktor broke into the dean of the academy's lab to conduct a dangerous magic experiment the first night they met what the fuck else were they getting up to in that lab
