Hello! This is my alternative fashion and DIY blog, featuring music as well.

My main is @weird-science-goblin

I love customising my clothes, so expect project updates and tips! I make patches and accessories, usually out of any old stuff I have lying around. I love making my clothes uniquely my own and hate fast fashion overconsumption. Thrifting is how I get most of my items that I decorate!

Music is my happy place and while I'm not musically trained in any way, I love listening to songs and finding cool new bands and artists. My favourite subgenres all fall under punk, but there are some (many) anomalies. I listen to pretty much anything that sounds good to me, but on this blog I'll stick to alternative stuff.

Fun fact: This blog's name is a play on a popular song's lyrics (Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones) where the words "hey ho! Let's go!" Are shouted. Since I'm a bit of a creative disaster, I figured that adding an "oh no" would be fun.

Disclaimer: Yes, I know clothes customising isn't traditionally DIY. I also know that I'm doing it myself and that DIY is far less of a tongue-twister than 'clothes customising'. Let me paint my patches in peace and if you wish to hate or partake in extreme gatekeeping, please don't do it on my blog. I want this to be a place of learning and creativity for alternative people, whether they're beginners or not.

I had been working on a big project for a while, but I finally finished it yesterday! When I picked up a black denim coat in a charity shop, I decided to turn it into a patch jacket themed around biology with a mad science vibe.

I handpainted 12 patches, as well as the wing and leaf on the back. The elbows are vinyl from a pair of old broken shoes. I also added the spikes and chains after cropping the coat.

This is how it looks now:

I used the bottom piece to make the patches. I didn't dye it, the lighting is just different.

Paint used: fabric paint and acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium.

I love making and using stencils. They make lines so crisp, 10/10 effect.

I made a matching bracelet and choker necklace set. The clasps are attached using can tabs because tabs have no joint areas that are weak and prone to breaking. The pleather was orginally pink (it was an old bag strap), but I painted it.
