Teachers, doctors, politicians belittled into taxi drivers, working in nursing homes where they get called nigger by the old white people who asses they wipe, homeless, and penniless and in all this just to get hate from people who look like them. But letās put that aside for now. In this time of pain and injustice, the one home you have you donāt think of as an option because someone doesnāt want you there. Your birth given right? You would allow someone to take that from you too? Havenāt y'all lost enough rights already? But many of y'all forget you did go back. My country, Liberia, was made from slaves who returned back to their homeland. But the biggest idea Iām trying to put out here, because I donāt want y'all to think Iām shitting on y'all, is the fact that separated we are nothing, the continued separation of our people will be our downfall. If we donāt kill these ideas that one group doesnāt want another or these people think theyāre better then those ppl , America will always have their foot up our ass.
I aināt read all that but check this out. I didnāt get this idea from no damn commercial. Iām from a place we call PG County and it is heavily populated with Africans. Africans I went to high school with that never let me forget that I was not from Africa nor did I know where my bloodline came from because Detroit wasnāt a good enough answer. I will never forget in 12th grade during spirit week, we had culture day and all of them got to wear dashikis and beautiful headwraps and turbans. I wore White, Red and Blue because thatās all I know. My best homegirl was African, do you know what she said?Ā āYou are nothing but a slave. Your people are White menās property.ā I will never forget how hard they laughed at the fact I didnāt know my heritage. & letās not discuss how I was treated by their families. Donāt set up here and act like there isnāt a divide. You full of shit and you probably have never had the experiences A LOT of us have had with Africans. We didnāt make any African immigrants become Taxi drivers. How dare you blame that on usā¦We fight the same stigma yāall do. White people donāt see Liberia vs. Oxon Hill, Maryland. They see Black. I personally donāt know all the Africans in PG County, just like you donāt know all the people in Africa that you assume donāt want you. Iām not gonna discredit your experience because Iāve seen African people say that shit before. But Iāve also had grown ass AA man tell me my African pussy smells like fish (age 10), had African American people tell us to go back to our country, SPEAK ENGLISH AFRICAN BOOTY SCRATCHER. From a bitch who looked as black as me. Both of our experiences are valid.
I didnāt point a finger and say African Americans are the reason for it. Maybe just maybe sweetheart if you had given me the respect of reading it like I did yours you would see the main point I made is separation of cultures will be our downfall.
