RP Update

Okay, so those replies I said were coming…are still coming.

Here’s what it is: I am trying a new schedule for May. I am cautiously optimistic that it will give me more writing time. I hope. But the fact is that I really need to be focusing on my mental health and PT for my shoulder (because it’s wonky). So with that in mind, I’m going to put @amuseablefeast and @heyarace on hiatus and focus on @finstergrayson and @haydensineater until I have a better handle on things. At some point I’ll be writing up blog-specific posts for them, with more specifics.

Just to give you an idea of how overwhelmed I’ve been feeling: it’s taken me about 2 weeks to post this. This week is going to be a bit busy, but I’m hoping to have some more draft to post this coming Sunday/Mondayish.

I really cannot apologize enough for the continued delays and slowness. I’m so sorry and grateful to people for being patient, if they still are.

RP Update

Hello, humans and what-have-you. Long time no see. I’m sorry for being AFK for such a long time and for not updating. Here’s how things stand: I am planning on still RPing. I am hoping to starting making updates soon. The situation is complicated by a couple things. First, there have been some changes to my schedule (and may be some more ahead) that have been a little challenging because they effect my writing time. Second, just looking at all the drafts and threads kind of sends my anxiety through the roof and paralyzes me a bit, so I’m having trouble tackling things.

So I’m going to be taking things pretty slowly. If you (understandably) want to drop our thread(s), please let me know. If you definitely do NOT want to drop our thread, letting me know that would be cool, too. If we had multiple threads going with the same muses, I might need to drop down to one or two, but it will sort of depend.

I don’t know exactly when I’ll start posting replies. I have a tendency to get sucked into unhealthy internet-related behaviors and in trying to combat that I often swing fully to the never-go-online-at-all end of things. :-/

I am deeply thankful for the awesome RP partners who have been so patient and understanding and still want to write with me despite my being an anxious hermit.

RP Update

Hey guys. I have been hermity and just kinda down and feeling really isolated and detached from everything. Today was my sister’s birthday and tomorrow and Saturday we are doing inventory at work. After that I am planning to seriously actually resume threads and drafts and such. Thank you so much for your patience. I am truly grateful, and sorry for the delay. Also for any typos I’ve made because I’m still a bit tipsy from bowling alley cape cods. *hugs you all tight*

Hello friend-types. Just an update. We’ve moved to the deliberation stage of the jury process and I am hoping tomorrow will be our last day (fingers crossed). I haven’t really been on tumblr at all because jury duty is seriously sapping my energy and brain-power. I owe some people starters in addition to drafts and asks that I still haven’t answered. I promise I’m going to get to it all once jury duty is done. Please feel free to send memes or asks or something to help get my muses going again once I come back. Just an update for everyone. I had some personal stuff going on and it is highly likely that I am going to be sworn in on a jury tomorrow. The judge said she expects the trial will be over some time next week (maybe as early as Wednesday), but who knows. So for RP-purposes, drafts will be slow because I will be busy and also Having Feelings which sort of crowd out my muses. Thanks for your patience.

Racetrack just rolled his eyes as Kal spouted more of his fancy words. “Uh-huh, whatever ya say.”

“No one ever objects to more dough,” agreed Race. He rubbed his hands together. “Lessee. Well. We could bet, of course. Any kind of gambling gives ya the opportunity to make big bucks fast. Problem bein’ that unless ya cheat, there’s a good chance you’ll lose more than you win. A con might work. Or picking’ pockets. But maybe hustlin’ pool or something’ would be the best bet.” He rubbed at his chin, looked at Kal. “Thoughts, yer fancy-pants-ness?”

I ain’t a great singer prompted a rather devilish grin, but he listened with genuine interest. Decided now that he didn’t particularly mind his voice.

“Of course,” he answered, with unplanned warmth, a touch surprised to see Race what-looked-like doubtful. “–Death & destruction usually seems to get people’s attention, too.” (A pity, now he thought about it, that so few of his edifying tales were in English.)

"But…” Drew out the pause for a few seconds, back to teasing. “I’m supposed to be on key, right?”

Racetrack rolled his eyes in as exaggerated a way as he could. “Yes, please,” he agreed, then elbowed Kal--not too hard, though--and added, “Ya bum.” Kal was something of a cipher to Racetrack--he was harder to read than a lot of the Squad, and Race wasn’t always sure how to behave with him. “Let’s get over the fountain and we’ll see how the park-goers like our performance.”
