Thunderbird Lodge Retreat is a wonderful and quirky place to stay near Joshua Tree National Park.

We recently visited Joshua Tree National Park and had a wonderful stay at the Thunderbird Lodge Retreat’s 3-bedroom Parkview cabin.  Each room was colorful, with a quirky and eclectic vibe.  The grounds had an interesting decor as well and it was very peaceful as we had the entire area to ourselves.  At night it was very dark and a great place to see the stars.  Would definitely stay here again!

Culinary Clash 2017 at Nob Hill Club, Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco.

I recently had the honor of judging this wonderful event.  It’s an annual competition that helps aspiring chefs get real world experience working in Michelin star restaurants and a chance to win a culinary scholarship.  We enjoyed a delicious three course meal with wine pairing prepared by chef Carlos Bello and Khoa Nguyen, big congrats for winning second place at Nob Hill Club!
