i draw mostly danny phantom and legend of zelda fanart i think, but i also like castlevania (games and show) red dead redemption, the witcher games, silent hill, resident evil, daredevil, dc comics (assigned superman fan at birth), chainsaw man, and witch hat atelier

i talk about whatever i like here besides the art. i am an archaeologist by trade — for now — but i i’m currently getting a second degree in geology with a minor in astrophysics to study planetary science, so expect talk about that. i like horror games/literature/films, and i am trying to watch more movies. i like to read whatever i can get my hands on. please feel free to message me anytime!!

currently not failing calculus II and i’m having literally so much fun in physics that i genuinely get a rush of dopamine just walking into my combined lecture/lab.

also signed up for calc III this fall as well as physics II and chemistry II and basically i will have zero time

but i also saw project hail mary in imax and i am more passionate about space science than ever like genuinely i am finding it impossible to contain my enthusiasm. artemis launch soon is legitimately making me feel a bit insane. like i am NOT normal.

also got invited to a lab doing asteroid geochemistry, that apprenticeship starts next week.

i am doing the things i always dreamed of.

i officially got into the lab!!

went to their monthly meeting today and immediately hit it off with the other students both undergrad and grad. i spoke briefly with the faculty advisor of the lab and she told me she already spoke with one of the grad students about a project for me to get started on in the fall.

we're studying physiochemical environments of ocean worlds and icy moons. mostly we are studying brine to see if there is a possibility for organic habitability.... so basically seeing if theres a possibility for life elsewhere !

was lucky enough to attend a panel meeting hosted by some europa clipper scientists. they were answering questions specifically students interested in cultivating a career at nasa and it was delightful!! got so much invaluable advice and insight

tldr; europa clipper is an orbiter sent to travel 1.8billion miles to jupiter’s moon europa as researchers believe the moon has the propensity to support life. the orbiter will reach europa by april 2030, and will make 49 flybys as it collects data from the moon :D

that all being said i’m maintaining really good grades in my current classes. i refuse to let anything tank my GPA

anyway i’m going to try to participate in ectoberhaunt on my own for funsies just so i’m injecting a little bit of creativity and whimsy into my life. i’ve been doing a lot of country swing dancing and also riding motorcycles while still somehow going to at least one goth night a week. all while doing school. actually not enough time in the day for all the things i want to do

also this is not relevant to the above post but just something i've been thinking about what with the goings ons in my country:

space travel is in danger, right now. trump cut NASA's science budget by nearly 4mil and elon and trump's very public lovers' quarrel does not bode well, since trump is a whiny little bitch baby and elon was a champion of sending people to Mars. it seems likely trump will oppose the idea in the future just to spite elon's freak ass. the only person in the senate that's calling for the lunar gateway and further artemis launches is ... ted cruz?

i'm scared guys. lmfao. not that we were doing well anyway but Keeping Up With Elon and Trump has taken on a new depth
