The wand that was tucked into her sleeve was slipped out. He crossed a line, she was an oaf? She was an idiot? Her eyes burned with fury and the once crimson blue there were was turned into a shadowy grey. She knew she hadn’t been a perfect wife, but he hadn’t been a perfect husband. Clementine swallowed her pride and narrowed her eyes. “I didn’t lift a finger until after my son was born because I was always in bed with you, you idiot! Don’t you ever fucking say I never gave a damn about you. If I didn’t, I would have left so much sooner, Jude. I stayed, for you. Not Sullivan, you. Sulley would handle us being separated, he’s young. I stayed because I love you, despite what you say.”
She continued following him, his words drifting to her ears. Clementine didn’t marry him for his money, no, she married him because she had feelings for him. They were forced into marriage, but clearly all he heard from that speech was her wanting his money. “I didn’t marry you for your bloody money. I would have rather been broke and homeless than trapped into marrying a man I didn’t love at that moment in time. We deserve each other? I’m nothing like my fucking mother and you damn well know it. I haven’t been waiting for this, I wanted to spend forever with y-”
Her words were cut off, as soon as he mentioned her father. Her wand was forgotten as she moved towards him and aimed a punch for back, then his neck, “Don’t you ever bring my father into this! Do you understand me? My mother doesn’t have the guts to murder someone. However, I bloody well do. Don’t you dare say you tried to prevent this. Preventing this would be you being faithful! Preventing this would you actually being home in our bed at night. Preventing this would be a whole lot different. So, you know what? Fuck you. If you think for a second you’ll see this baby - you’re sadly mistaken. You don’t deserve to be a father.”
He left.
