@heyteagan-blog
Robyn turned back around. âOkay. What do you want to grab for dinner tonight,â
âGood question---- how about Taco Bell? Iâm kind of in the mood for a burrito.â
Chuckling softly, Ethan threw her the bag of chips and rested beside her. Turning his head towards the brunette, he considered her proposition and shrugged. âIf youâre gonna get the key, you need to promise not to break anymore of my bonesââ
âI canât promise that,â Teagan teased as she opened the bag of chips, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. âBut I promise Iâm not going to steal more of your stuff.â
âWhat can I say? No one forgetts a good partner but shit, Iaamost thought I had lost the magic completely. I swear, once you get kids you are going to have to put a lot of fun activities on a high shelf and youâre lucky if your hands managed to grab one of them here and there.â That was not to say he had been completely out of the game (unless you counted his year off due to his back), but up until meeting Beth again he had never found someone who had actually caught enough of his interest. âBethany Grayson, sheâs one year younger than me and has a twin brother named Brent â I used to hang with him more than her, but maybe it was the other way around for you? If not, I donât see why I shouldnât introduce you two. Maybe she can help aid you as wellâ, he smirked at her. âIâll give you a number the next time you give me a beer â easy as that tiger. My visits are rare and should be appreciated in its full glory, or else Iâll just dump my kid outside your door next time and have fun on my own. And psst, everyone knows the backdoor has guards. Are you really going to fight your way through them?â
Teagan rested her head against her palm of her hand as she listened to Simon. It wasnât until he mentioned the name Bethany Grayson, he really caught her attention. The name seemed rather familiar and she had to really think about this one, trying her best to remember all the old faces from her past. â----The blonde one? I think I remember her, but Iâm terrible with names, once I see their faces, Iâll probably recognize them. We used to hang out a lot.. I think. It was years ago,â Teagan said, followed by a shrug. âIâll have beer the next time you stop by, Iâll save one just for you and write your name all over the bottle. I wouldnât mind that, actually. Itâll be good practice for Lucyâs kids, Iâm going to be the best babysitter ever. ----And hey, Iâm really good at getting what I want. I just have to bat my eyelashes and theyâll let me in.â
âNow that will be a super cool sight to see. Itâs you, of course they will call you Super Cool Aunt Teags and then beg you to buy them cool super hero costumes and then go out on the town fighting crime and buying candy. Itâs just something thatâs bound to happen, you know?â Lucy shrugged, as nonchalantly as she could, as if it was absolutely nothing, but that was a future she couldnât really wait for. âIâm not a really good cook, Iâm still learning and I still depend very much on my chef,â she stopped for a minute and cracked a humorous smile at her best friend on her way to her kitchen. âI just sounded so presumptuous, didnât I? Guess thatâs what being rich will do to you.â She joked, opening the fridge and pulling out some ingredients.
âSuper Cool Aunt Teags---- it has a nice ring to it, doesnât it? Iâm probably going to end up buying all of us matching costumes and youâll be Mama Bear, or something even cooler than that.â Her smirk turned into a wide grin, showing off her teeth in the process. Following the blonde into the kitchen, she leaned against the kitchen counter with a brow raised at her. âMaybe a little. But Iâm going to pretend I didnât hear that part. Do you need any help?âÂ
âYeah.. I wish we could, though. God, that probably makes me a terrible mom.â Charlotte smiled before shrugging her shoulders, âNo problem, and honestly I wouldnât mind. Itâs good to get to know people in this town again.âÂ
âIt doesnât, I grew up with my parents cursing all the time, so I thought my name was fuck for several months. Iâm doing alright now, or at least I like to think so. ----Iâm probably going to come knocking now, just wait and see.â

Sucking his cheeks in, Ethan tried not to laugh but he failed miserably as Hank went around and hoovered up food that scattered around her. He held and arm out for her to take, rolling his eyes but quickly retracted it back to his side and shrugged. âStay on the floor thenââ He chuckled, disappearing into the kitchen for a moment. âIâm gonnaâ have to get you a damn key if you keep coming over like this. And a fuckinâ wheelchair so you canât fall flat on your ass.â
After getting back up on her feet, the brunet followed Ethan into the kitchen and leaned against the counter. âIf youâre gonna get me a key, Iâm going to show up unannounced all the time. My landlord is done with my shit and I apparently only have thirty days left.â
âYeah, I guess you didnât either,â he stated, raising a brow at the brunette he knew all too well. Her eyes were as intense just as intense as he remembered; feline-like and feisty as hell. âReally? Must be fate. I have family here, so Iâm visiting.âÂ
âI guess youâre right,â Teagan began, crossing her arms across her chest. âI fucked you, didn't I?â Her question was more of a statement, rather than an actual question. âThatâs cute. Are you gonna tell me you missed me or give me a compliment?â
âSorry!â Robyn said before shutting her eyes. âI thought you would be dressed by now,â
A silent laughter escaped Teaganâs lips as she turned around to get dressed, putting on the first thing she could find. âYou can look now.â
Lux shrugged. âItâsâitâs fine,â she said. âI just, um, have problems withâŠsocial anxiety, especially afterâŠâ She trailed off, not wanting to name Keegan as if he was like Bloody Mary and would be summoned if you said his name too often. âAfter, um, some recent stuff. That wasnâtâthat wasnât very good for me.â
âI'm Teagan, by the way. Since weâre talking about your shitty past, we should at least know each otherâs names. ----Do you want a drink? Donât tell me you donât drink.â
âWhat, nothing interesting? Teagan, you shock me.â He teased with a quite chuckle. âI have to say I would love to be able to tell the story of how I spend an entire week sleeping and eating. Itâs been forever since I last did that.â
âI had a fortune cookie last week and it told me âhard work pays off in the future, laziness pays off nowâ. So Iâm just trying to embrace all of the laziness.â Dragging a hand through her brown locks, she gave him a smile. âYou should try it out, itâs amazing.â
âGodâŠI think itâs Vaughn? Or something prissy and stupid,â Darcy said dryly. âHe called me stupid and basically called me crazy within fifteen minutes.â
âNever heard of the name before, so he was probably a nobody anyway. ----He did what? Iâm the only one whoâs allowed to call you that, but thatâs because we both know Iâm joking. Why didnât you slap his face?â
âWell⊠this is awkward,â
âWhich part? The part where Iâm naked or the part where you canât stop staring?â
âThatâs it. Weâre going to buy two wigs each and then put them on before going out â weâll use some kind of persona and have fake accents. Weâll be fucking amazing and beautiful. Until we decide to follow a guy home and totally freak him out by removing it all dramatically.â It was clear that Devyn had thought about this before. With a wiggle of her brow that she hoped would entice Teagan, she continued to get dressed. âFuck no. Iâve been drinking more than Iâve been eating. I think Iâve lost like two pounds? You been doing squats?â Pausing, she had to nod in agreement with what the other was saying. She was lucky she had a friend like Teagan around to put up with her crap. âGo get the drinks and Iâll put some music on.â
"That's the best fucking idea I've heard all week. I'm going to be Natasha O'Riley, or more specific Supervisory Special Agent Natasha O'Riley. Behaviour Analyst for the FBI. And yes, I have been watching a lot of Criminal Minds lately." Teagan gave the blonde a smile over her shoulder, before she adjusted her dress, making sure it hugged her curves perfectly. "Well shit, you actually look really good. Haha---- no, I haven't exercised in years. And thank God for that." Turning around to give Devyn a wink, she quickly vanshied out the room and headed for the kitchen. Coming back out with two glasses, a bottle of tequila and a wide grin on her face, she placed all of it on the table as she took a seat on the couch.
âNope. Trust me, they drive me insane and my little one always wants to have a conversation with them. She has no fear.â A warm smile formed on her features, âSo have I, but itâs good to finally meet you too! Hereâs your mail,â she stated, handing the envelopes over. âAnd hey, if you ever need anything or want to bitch about those door knockers, Iâm just on the floor above!âÂ
âHa, really? Thatâs good to know. Maybe I should just put up a sign, telling them to fuck off. But then again, that might not be approprierte considering thereâs children living in this building,â Teagan said, followed by a shrug of her shoulders. Fastening the towel with one hand, she took the envelopes with the other. â----Thanks. And by the way, you shouldnât tell me that. I might actually come knocking on your door.â
Seeing Teagan walk over to the door in still nothing but a towel, caused Opheliaâs smile to grow. Impressive, she was actually going to go through with it. Thus without hesitation, Ophelia followed. âWell this is one way to start a morning.â She mused as she made her way out of the apartment and down the hall.
âItâs going to be a good morning,â Teagan added as she followed Ophelia, making sure the towel was secure under her arm.
