ANNOUNCEMENT: Status of Pending / Unfinished Works on AO3

*taps mic nervously* Hey, there!

Recently, I was under a continuous writer's rush that had me writing a lot. Like, a lot very much.

I sincerely apologize for disappearing. Life had been difficult and I guess it lead me to rediscovering my love for writing.

Because of this, I would like to make an announcement on the status (and future) of each works posted on Archive of Our Own (under the username heythereflyboy):

Strange Magic

The final chapter has been posted on December 27, 2024. I am actually surprised that there's at least one person who had stuck through this.. It's extremely heartwarming because the last chapter had always been "almost" finished, yet I keep on tumbling on being lost in writing this.

Strange Magic will always be special to me. It has inspired me to revisit my some of old works in progress and see to their completion.

In Memoriam

I will be posting an update on AO3 to serve as a notice for those who are still subscribed to the work, but do not have Tumblr to see this announcement.

In Memoriam has gone through major changes in terms of characterization, plot, and many more as I have finalized everything—from the canon divergence in Prince Caspian up until The Last Battle.

Five chapters have already been accomplished as of writing this announcement. Each chapter will be posted weekly until we reach Chapter 5. After that, updates will come around as soon as I finish each chapter.

The date of posting the new version of Chapter 1 will be announced soon. This will be posted on AO3 and Fanfic(dot)net, then perhaps with enough conviction, Wattpad.

Hold It Against Him

I would like to deeply apologize for deciding to scrap this work completely. It had been a loooong decision that I have thought about with genuine care since I genuinely liked the plot I had in mind for this. However, I don't see myself finishing it as much as my other pending works.

I already have plans to write for The Royals as I still genuinely love the series up until now, centering on (ironically) Liam and Willow instead.

But, I will be keeping this work up on AO3 for a very long time until I decide that it's really time to say goodbye. Find the first (and only) chapter here.

Heavy in the Heart, Heavier in the Home

I had thought about scrapping this work since I lost the plot development. There had been no record of me thoroughly planning the work as writing this one had always been a spur of the moment thing.

That is until I keep getting kudoses over the years, especially last 2024.

I don't think I will rewrite any chapters, save for any refinements since my writing style had gone through developments over the years since I last touched this.

Reader engagement has truly been helpful for me. I encourage everyone to leave comments / reviews and at least a kudos. It keeps me moving forward. Please engage with your favorite fanworks as well! You don't know how much it would help an author a lot.
