probably a controversial headcanon considering the interpretations of every CPPS, but....

what if?

what if dj maxx was actually just pretransition cadence?

think about it.

my evidence:

- dj maxx never showed up in club penguin. he was an npc from penguin chat 3.

- instead, we got cadence, a couple years later.

- they look similar. look at them. tell me that's not the same person some years apart.

- club penguins can change their feather color anytime. going from red to peach is not very drastic, anyway.

- again, not counting every CPPS that likes to bring him back as a separate character... these two were never actually in the same room together. because dj maxx did not exist in club penguin.

- cadence took his place. they fill pretty much the same role.

- cadence is much happier and more active than dj maxx, who just stood in one spot DJ-ing. she's clearly thriving now.

- cadence is a very deliberate name. k-dance. cadence itself being a music term. either way it's very thematic and she 100% chose it.

- meanwhile, "dj maxx" just feels a little more... lazy? like she just took her deadname and maybe added on an X like 'whatever, i guess that's my dj name?' before the egg cracked.

- penguin chat 3 ended in 2005. cadence first showed herself in the newspaper in 2008. that's plenty of time to change like this.

so anyway cadence is a trans girl. to me.
