â Boogie On & On
Maybe he should have left well enough alone. After quickly agreeing to her terms he let her take the lead so she could pick out where she wanted to dance. Following behind her he could practically feel the apprehension rolling off of her, his smile faltering just a bit at the way she seemed poised for an attack from some unseen threat. Or maybe it was him that was the threat in this situation. It was almost enough to stop him right there, maybe apologize for being such an ass and making her do something she clearly didnât want to do.
He flashed a warm smile at her awkward glance, taking a position in front of her and keeping enough distance between them as to not make her more uncomfortable than she already was. It was a bit of a struggle to look encouraging but still he swayed to the music, caught the beat in his shoulders and let it travel down to his feet. For him it wasnât hard at all to get lost in the music, to forget about the world around him for a moment while he danced his cares away. Some may think it pointless to do so, but he really hope he could share that feeling with her.
She was able to get into the beat the music with surprising ease. Aella had a good ear for music and it was that alone that made it easy for her to find the beat of a song. She could sway to it with ease but it was the breaking free and having fun part that was harder for her to grasp. Even as her body moved perfectly she looked around as people seemed to have fun and not have a car in the world. She also noticed that a good amount of the people in the club had drinks in their hands.
Maybe, that would be the key for her. She needed to get something to drink. She placed a hand on his shoulder to signal him to come with her and headed to the bar, it only took a few minutes but she got herself a double shot glass and poured some absolute. Just a moment later it was gone as she shot it back whole and pulled him back to dance floor swaying again.
