do I ship spider x ant or spider x missy???? what kind of question is that?? spider has two hands!! and both of them should be covering his mouth so he can't speak anymore ☺️
spider & ant aka boyfriends ♡
this week has proven that i love writing fic for dead fandoms
i'm a dumb teen boy (and i really need a hug) 🕷️🐜
“We’re gonna share?” The surprise in Ant’s voice made Spider look over to him. He was still resting up on his forearms, his face peering down over Spider. Spider hadn’t realised just how close they were until he had to force his hazy vision to focus on Ant’s face. “Why are you surprised by that? We shared a bed at pretty much every school camp since we met.” “Yeah, but that was before…” Before. The realisation hit Spider like a punch to the gut, which was even less comfortable when his gut was full of alcohol. spider and ant share a bed on schoolies.
heartbreak high (2022), spider/ant, there was only one bed
I love the pub culture in London whenever I visit. I love the tiny places that are able to open the entire front of their public house so people can stop by. I love that they’re so small. I love that it’s always people laughing and joking in the spring sun. I love that these places have existed since the 1400s. It just feels alive in a way that I can’t describe.
Which is romanticising it a lot because inside there it’s like the fires of hell (I know, I’ve done it) but I just love seeing people hanging out and enjoying their lives in the same way they have for 700 years.
just realised there is over 261k words of my writing publicly available on the internet, gradually published since 2018
wildly high number
very vulnerable feeling
him whom my soul loves 💍
He’d played the long game, and it had paid off beautifully. He didn’t really know what to do with himself once they’d shut the door to the darkness outside, the bouquet of flowers plucked from their garden still hanging from between Anne’s fingers. anne & gilbert's wedding night, from the perspective of the one who waited.
anne of green gables, anne/gilbert, wedding night; gilbert's pov
i do not understand how you can say that the ending somehow erases or destroys their relationship, that six thousand years "don't matter" anymore as if death erases love. as if death erases meaning. as if their love isn't literally the reason for creation.
as if the entire movie was not created out of love for terry pratchett and his stories, his life. as if his memory isn't the reason we have an ending to the story in the first place.
as if you cannot see and feel how much they cared, as if they haven't immortalized him yet again in the movie itself.
Hear, hear!
Did people not see the zooming into Terry’s portrait? Or the LOVE woven through the very episode?
It’s literally them, they are alive now! Not just existing, actually ALIVE! They found each other again in another universe. They’ll always find each other. In every universe, in every lifetime. That’s more romantic than any kiss.
How are people still not getting that?
BEST ROM-COM EVER
- why make me complete? and then take it away? - because you were able to value what most people never even know they have. your love for him was the messiest, silliest, most predictable thing in the universe. and it made me smile.
~ Good Omens Finale (2026)
“BUT THAT’S NOT THEM!!!!”
HOW can you say that?!?!?! HOW can you sit there and watch Asa say “scrumptious” and “tickety-boo,” bring out the hot cocoa, and then watch Anthony absolutely GEEK OUT over the universe and point out the NIGHTINGALE while they hold hands under the night sky — and then look me dead in the eyes and tell me that’s not them?!?!?!
Like I’m sorry but that is literally their ESSENCE reincarnated into human form. Same souls. Same love. Same ridiculous little mannerisms. They found each other AGAIN. What more do you WANT FROM ME!!!!!!!!
"they didn't get a happy ending" BUT THE WORLD WAS HAPPY THE WORLDDDDD THE WORLD THEY CHOSE THE WORLD THEY CHOSE THE PEOPLE WHO THEY GREW TO CARE ABOUT AND THE HUMANITY THEY'VE WATCHED GROWWWWWWWWW
maybe somewhere in the middle of nothingness they're there and watching two men who look like themselves fall in love
coming online as someone who liked the finale
the fandom: "us" but at what cost?
SPOILERS FOR GO3 BELOW THE CUT; an argument for why this is, in fact, the perfect ending.
i’ve been personally saying since GO1 that all crowley and aziraphale wanted or needed was to be human. their whole issue with heaven and hell respectively was that they were too human for their celestial identities and communities. anthony and asa are exactly who they should have been the whole time - they are who crowley and aziraphale always were at their core. while i admit, it's not quite the same as what we/i hoped, and i am very sad for the former-demon crowley and former-angel aziraphale, this is what they were dreaming of. they got to ask their questions of god and got their answers (which made me cry, seeing crowley get the one thing he'd always desired). they said a willing goodbye, accepting that was the end, and it wasn't. they got everything they wanted, and more than they asked for - love, eternal commitment, the freedom to enjoy frivolity, the cottage in south downs. also, before anyone says but why can't god have just turned them into humans in the same universe? why did the universe have to kick the bucket just so they could have what they wanted? well, the universe was already destroyed, so it's not like aziraphale and crowley were the ones who decided that (thanks michael). they could never have been regular humans living a regular human life in their original universe. it was too far gone. too much had happened. and then what would have happened when they died a human death - back to heaven and/or hell? back to be judged by the god who they requested humanity of? no, thank you. they asked for a permanent solution, even if it was at the cost of the already-gone universe and their celestial existence. also, since all of the other celestial beings were incarnated as humans in the new universe, we can probably headcanon that all the humans were the same. no net loss!
yes, this is a bittersweet ending, i admit that. but i'm overall so happy with it. they got exactly what they always wanted.
