Goddamit i hate this fucking post. I hate it because obviously if “twelve” followed the same pattern as the other teen numbers it wouldn’t be “twoteen” it would be “seconteen”. Think about it. It’s not “threeteen” it’s “thirteen” as in “third”. It’s not “fiveteen” it’s “fifteen” as in fifth. So with that in mind, you count “first, second, third, fourth, fifth,” and so on, so eleven would be “firsteen” and twelve would be “secondteen” or “seconteen”. “Firsteen, seconteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen….” It just drives me absolutely mad everytime i see this post that this obvious pattern was overlooked and i cant hold in my rage anymore.

finding out hank green got caught using ai and trying to hide it is very funny to me somehow. like i always just found him kind of annoying in that patronizing teacher sort of way, but i never really considered it anything more than a me-problem, and i never tried to justify it as some personal failing on his part. i don't think it's a crime to be a little cringey and i would be a hypocrite if i acted like it was. so to find out he was trying to moneymaxx with ai instead of just doing better time/workload management via spacing out deadlines or hiring extra staff or w/e is like... well i didn't need all that but thank you. it feels like if i didn't like eating peas and was like "i don't think peas are objectively bad for people to eat, i just personally don't like the flavor" and then woke up one day to find out scientists discovered peas cause cancer
