Had a great first few days in Philly. I’m at the hospital now and my dad was just admitted for his surgery.

Monday - easy direct flight!! First time I’ve been able to get a direct flight home since 2018. What a difference it made.

Tuesday - went to Lancaster with my parents and then had family over for a barbecue!

Wednesday - dad worked so I spent the day with my mom. I went with her to church where she volunteers as the cemetery manager; she had a little bit of work to do. Then we got lunch and did some shopping for my dad for some post-op things. I then went to happy hour with one of my best friends from high school and college, and then I went to the Phillies game with my parents and brother and sister in law!

Next few days will be helping my dad post-op. I’m feeling very optimistic about the operation, but he has been SO anxious these past few days. I’m so relieved this is finally getting done so he can stop stressing and so we can put all of this behind us.
