Download and follow this audio guide to lead you to Studio Mossutställningar. The guide is produced by HICCUP (The Hub for Independent Curators and Creatives United in Production) in collaboration with Maria Kotlyachkova, Emmeli Person, and Jens Evaldsson. It includes history on the area and artistic reflections on the surroundings, as well as a lesson in Epigenetics.
The HICCUP project group consisted of Isis Graham, Alex Manson, Sally Müller and Jen Lindblad with support from The Public Art Agency Stockholm and Studio Mossutställningar.
Instructions: Begin the guide on the train platform as you walk off the train at Gärdet station. Begin walking towards the Värtahamnen exit, but wait to get on the escalator until you are instructed to do so!

We had such a great time at the first installment of Back2School! We drank coffee at the teacher's lounge and did arts&crafts at our craft corner. Here is a complete list of the classes and some pictures from the day.
Zara Arrehed - Sound Workshop. 10 min.
The perfect Back2School warmup! We'll divide into 2 or 3 groups. Each group gets two sounds, which they will listen to on headphones. Then Zara will conduct the groups different sounds like a kind of choir.
Alida Ivanov - Alida’s Modeling School. 10 min.
Learn how to work your angles, strut your stuff on the runway, but most importantly: smile with your eyes. Alida will offer 1:1 consultations throughout the day on posing and walking.
Jen Lindblad - Nicki Minaj & Contemporary Art (Or: why Nicki Minaj must’ve secretly been an art history major). 10 min.
A close look at some of the rapper’s music videos, including Starships, The Boys, and Va Va Voom, reveals that either someone on her video crew or Ms. Minaj herself often pays intentional homage to contemporary art history.
Jen Lindblad & Jacob Ehrensvärd - Pickling Made Easy. 15 min.
All you need is vinegar, water, salt, sugar, some vegetables and a lot of love. Jen and Jacob will take you through the basics of pickling and its benefits, with help from a cookbook from 1946.
Isabel Löfgren - How to make a Powerpoint(less) presentation. 20 min.
We are surrounded by screens, say the apocalyptic media theorists, and will soon be engulfed by them. Nowhere is this more true than during hours of meetings, conferences and seminars where screen culture, in the form of ever more fancy presentations, fill our eyes with bullet points accompanied by the speaker's words. Or is it the opposite? Can we speak today without a screen? Can an audience be engaged without the presence of audiovisual elements? Is Powerpoint a form of knowledge? Given the power of the Occupy movement where no "speaking" technology was allowed, what possible forms of engagement we can think of today?
Brett Ascarelli - How Rude! 20 min.
How often have you been bumped into by people rushing by on the sidewalk or the subway platform, and they don't even have time to say excuse me? Or maybe, you smile at someone, and they just keep walking by. In this workshop, we're going to brainstorm creative ways to combat rudeness. Then, we'll test them out on each other before taking them for a spin on the streets of Stockholm.
Jens Strandberg - Recycled materials/notes from an Artistic Janitor. 20 min.
Jens leads us in a group discussion covering the hierarchisation of work/the work of hierarchisation, refused/rejected and re-fused material, hidden material/invisible labor, and caring and care-taking.
Johannes Bergmark - How to make musical Instruments from household objects & play the saw. 30 min.
Johannes will talk about his musical instrument building / sound sculptures / musical performance art with images and film clips, ideas and ideology. His lesson will conclude with a 10-minute lesson in how make a saw sing.
Thanks everyone for your participation and we look forward to Round 2!
Our first event, Back2School, will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 1 - 4pm. The event takes the form of a free, one-day university. Class/workshop lengths may range from 5 minutes to 1 hour.
