Important note: Tally knows that they made a bad decision. They were partially aware of what Turbo was doing, they knew heâd gone against his programming, which Tally disagreed with. But if they wanted their pain gone, werenât they doing the same? Why should they judge him for what he did? They were blinded by desperation and the hope of getting better.
Recoding Continued:
Turbo continued to recode Tally(along with being used as a plaything) for years. They would go every day when the arcade closed even if it was just for a little bit. See Turbo, Turbo recoding if he wanted to that day.
Right before the events of the Cy-Bugs. Tally would often gain these little lines. Usually a paler color to their skin but could also match the color of their eyes. Color would appear whenever feeling very heightened emotions. If left in too strong of an emotion for too long the mark could imprint into their model, like a scar. Each of the colors couldâve happened for different or the same emotions, red was just when Turboâs behaviors took over. They had tried to make sure this didnât happen in front of anyone but Jet saw it a few times.
The lines could run along different paths these are just some examples.
The Cy-Bugs:
Through the cybug takeover, Tally immediately ran to Sugar Rush to save their savior.
âTally you donât!â Jet tried to pull them away from the bug-infested game in front of them. âLook at what heâs done to you!â He shouted at Tally with a firm grip around their right wrist.
Tally whipped their head around and used as much strength as they could to try and pry the twinâs hand away from them.
âI was alone! Suffering, in pain every single day! I had nobody, Jet!â
âYou had me!â

âTurbo⊠Darlinâ you.â
That crazed look in his eyes alongside the monstrous form that now towered over them made them step back. Made the worry for him in their being turn to fear for themselves.
Their eyes trailed over the new body. The legs, the claws, his faceâŠ
His face that kept being covered by that sugar-coated king.
Whereâs my racer?
My greatest racer?
It ainât you anymore is itâŠ?
But when did it end? When did the racer of TurboTime become a monster?
This form in front of them, this horror is what heâs always been, frightening and cruel.
Tally was saved by the Cola Mountain erupting. As every Cybug, including the one that consumed their savior met their demise.
âTally?â Jet turned slowly. Watching a defeated person step out from SugarRushâs entrance. Tally didnât say anything just stepped closer to him.
He rushed over to their side, tried to look at their face with their head hanging low. âTally-Tally are you okay?â
They paused, felt their eyes fill with tears before they sucked their bottom lip into their mouth and shook their head.
NoâŠIâm not.
Tally stayed with Jet, and when the homes for the gameless characters were built in Fix-it Felix the two moved there. Jet and Tally worked through all of Tallyâs mixed emotions, Tally tried their best to coach Jet into fixing a few splayed ends of the code in their chest. It took some time and some zaps until Tally was completely fixed up, now without any pain.
âThis feelsâŠright.â
The Red Strings:
After living in the apartments for a while:
Tally had hoped that after the Cy-Bug events and seeing the monstrosity that was TurboTimeâs main racer burn they could move on.
Move on and heal.
But then a few days later it started.
Tal.
Their name was whispered in their head with his voice. He who caused all their suffering. They felt as if they were beginning to lose their mind.
It started quietly until it was a loud grating noise in the front of their head.
Jet had left for Tappers, leaving Tally alone in the apartment, a headache they said it was. And it was. But also so much more.
Tally stop ignoring me!
Stop it, stop it! Heâs dead, monster got what he deserved, stop thinkinâ about âim!
Tally told themselves and was met with a familiar laugh echoing in their skull.

âYou used me as a backup save!?â Tally hollers, their anger exceeding their care for the ears that could hear them through the walls.
âExactly that. I wasnât sure if it would work at first but when that warthog set off Cola Mountain and took away my body I woke up in your head not long after.â
Tally blinked in quick succession.
âAnd now Iâm able to talk to you. Planned on giving myself full body access but for some reason I-â
âYou were planninâ on takinâ over my body?!â Tally asked not in disbelief no they fully believe that this man was evil enough to do such a thing. Just shocked at the audacity really.
They felt another laugh echo in their head. âWhy of course I was, youâre just part of a computer Tal, a walking part of home and I have every right to return home wouldnât you say?â
Tally grits their teeth. âThat kinda talk doesnât work on me anymore Turbo.â
In Tallyâs code box, they had gained red strings. Those strings that Turbo told them were just unfinished lines of code were actually a backup save. Tally didnât know code like he did, and they trusted him. Turbo only wanted whatâs best for them, he said. So why would they think otherwise?
Tally was a curiosity and in a strange way carried a part of their game cabinet with them. So why couldnât he code himself into them, why couldnât he return home in a roundabout way? It was his game after all, his game to do what he pleased.
End:
Over time Tally was able to deal with Turbo, even eventually getting Turbo to use please and thank you, though that was one heck of a fight.
Tally is unable to remove the man from their body but the two have been able to make it work. Sharing one form. While the people around them wish that he would just go away, it wonât be possible without potentially losing Tally in the process and Jet has made it clear to everyone around that that is not happening.
In the end, Tally is alive, forever linked with the one who took everything from them and used them. But theyâre living, as much as they can, as much as being a video game character will let them.
F/o making sure you sleep well, that your position doesnât cut off your circulation. They tuck you in if your blanket has fallen, or maybe they remove it if they notice you overheating. If you have any plushies they put them back on the bed after they have fallen, pressing a kiss to your face as they think how much they love you.
If you cant sleep, they will help you find something to alleviate it, trying different methods and techniques so you can rest. Making your favorite kind of tea or milk to get you to calm down and making sure the lightning is always appropriate for your needs.
