Name: Maxine ‘Max’ Aika Misako
Occupation: Masters Student in Forensic Science and Anthropology
Maxine was born and raised an only child in Ravenwood by Japanese immigrant parents. Without any siblings, it was rather lonely navigating through the world as Max’s parents often worked long hours as well. However, there wasn’t anything to ever complain about. She had her room, was able to have three meals a day, and able to shop for new clothes.
In high school, Maxine was quiet and kept to herself. As an honors student, she was dedicated to her studies and usually did well. She wasn’t very communicative with people in school nor did she speak to her parents that much either. In her freshman year, they filed for divorce and Maxine had a difficult time keeping up with the sudden change. Although, she kept her concerns to herself. She remained living with her mother, who was never really affectionate. While, her father was just the opposite and demanded intimacy and the stereotypical father-daughter relationship out of her. However, after mirroring her mother, Maxine found it difficult to bond with her father and other people.
After high school, Maxine attended Columbia University to study both forensic science and anthropology. During her senior year, her father passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack. Not long after, Max’s mother decided to move back to Japan, leaving Maxine in the states by herself. Once finished with her undergraduate years, she decided to continue her education to earn a masters and soon, her doctorate.
