Rabbi Simcha!! Happy new year!! Yes, I'm still in sporadic update territory but i. Doing my best!

I have to re-figure out how to do backgrounds. >.>

Back into the saddle! I’m re-learning all of my programs, and it’s nice that they’re intuitive enough that I can pick it back up relatively easily. I was also smart and cataloged all of my pantones to the character. I’m looking forward to continuing. <3

Do not taunt Happy Fun Wryn. I remember why I love working on this comic. <3

This took me longer to do for...obvious reasons. The wet look is difficult but I’m glad I’m mastering it. I’m tempted to retroactively go fix all of Twyn’s wet hair scenes.

Backgroundless page. I do love Alora’s looks here. Also I FORGOT HER EYELASHES WHUT but I guess it does add to the look in the bottom panel.

Chapter 2. Expect these pages to take a bit longer because SO. MANY. SCENERY SHOTS. Also I decided to give Alora a new hairstyle. I like her with a ponytail!

Chapter 1 done. Time for Chapter 2. And yes, again, real time. Another page done in about two hours.

For those curious, this is real time - I got the panels and the barebones sketch (wireframe) of the first two panels done directly after posting the previous page. I did the rest today, with a break for ice cream and an errand. This is.....This is amazing. Enjoy the comic.

1. Wryn is NOT flipping anyone off in the first panel. 2. I super LOVE this program. I’ll keep repeating it. I hope I’m getting back in the groove. I like it here.

Definitely liking this process a lot better. Need to play around with textures to see what works best next to other textures, so expect some variation therein. Starting to set up certain dynamics now. And yes, now we’re looking at my actual handwriting.

Manga!! So 1, expect sporadic but extant updates. 2. Also expect it to be in manga shades and form from now on. this is faster, and more to the point, it’s the form in which I originally envisioned HD. So, for now at least, this is where we’re headed!

I would love to say, again, that I am taking the easy way out with this page but to be honest, I planned this nearly a year ago.

Originally I tried to do the lettering in my own handwriting but you guys don’t want to see that, right?

Meet Vincent. So many of my characters from the previous iteration of this comic have become more nuanced and have much more depth and motivation than they did before, and I can’t show it right now because they’re only just introduced. Just be aware even the shallowest character can be dived into. ....is it Dived? Dove? Doven? Doved?

Am I talking about a pool metaphor or birds now? I don’t even know. Enjoy the comic!

Again, the power of buffers. The character on the left background in the bottom panel has, much like Diamond, gone through a redesign. He is more diverse (as I’m no longer limited to whatever I have in colored pencils), and the changes in him are also more than fur deep. But that will come in time. For now, enjoy the comic! :D
