Open Event Starter: Spencer Reid -

Spencer had never been one for public outings, save for the occasional convention or mandated appearance by the FBI. Yet he knew he needed to get out, meet the people around Washington and hope to find his friends in the process.

A fundraiser seemed like a relaxed enough environment for Spencer, a rich history surrounding him that he could get lost in should he become overwhelmed. He had found himself in the fill and self-taught exhibit, away from the chatter of the event happening mainly in the kogod courtyard. Letting himself take in the the exhibit and find solace away from everyone else.

Bob wasn't sure why he came to the ball, because he wasn't a fancy event guy. However, after recent events, he did feel like he should be here, he had a kid in the city. He wasn't going to let anyone hurt Louise and he didn't want any of the other young citizens being hurt either. So, he was in dad mode. "At least there is good food, right? Not really looking to dance, but I just want a good view of the dance floor. Keep an eye out, you know? Make sure nothing bad happens tonight."

He'd landed somewhere. He knew that much. Somewhere new. Kayne had sent him here for some reason and... oh, Noel and Collins... it was so much to process. "John, where are we?" He asked. But no reply. "John?" He asked, a bit louder, more feverous. He needed John to describe the place he was in. He was his eyes. And still nothing was said. "John!" He called out, much louder. And he knew he'd be causing a scene. He didn't care though. He needed to know where he was. But still no answer.

Mark had been in town for almost two weeks now--enough time to realize that this world was not the one he'd come from, to realize he certainly wasn't dead (or if he was, this version of the afterlife was severely underwhelming to say the least), and that if he was going to find anyone he knew--if that was even possible--he was going to have to hit the pavement.

He stopped at a newspaper stand and picked it up, saying idly to the vender, "This real? I mean, real news?" He took off his sunglasses and looked around the street. "You know, I've seen a lot of cities. But none this...gray. Where's the color? The life? People are expected to do government here? No wonder they're all so repressed and-and grumpy. Hey, you--" He stopped the nearest person walking by. "What's there to do around here for fun?"

Working in an emergency room was always an adventure, and today was no different. Talisa had been on shift for so long, running around the halls of the hospital, treating patient after patient, that the exhausted nurse could no longer feel her feet. She leaned against an empty bed, stealing a short moment of peace and taking a long, deep breathe. One, two, three...time was up. In a split second, the curtains were pushed back and a new patient was brought in to fill the now-not-so-empty blue bed.

Talisa stood up straight, put on her best smile, and grabbed what she needed to perform an exam on the patient. "What brings you in tonight, Dear?"

Carina hurried down the busy street with Liam in her arms, searching for the convenience store that was supposed to be right ahead. Everything was supposed to be normal, but here she was, in D.C. with her son and all alone. Why couldn't Maya have come with her too? That definitely would have made things easier, life was easier with Maya by her side to fight with her.

"Oof! Dio mio, I'm so sorry!" Carina frantically apologized to the person who she had just knocked into, putting out her free hand to help them up.

Faye slid into the stool at the bar, feeling frazzled and tears pricking at the corners of her eyes.

"I'll have whatever, just make it virgin, please," she tells the bartender as she tries to rub away whatever tears that are trying to break free. Knowing that her pager could go off at literally any moment, Faye decides that it's best to keep any alcohol out of her system, even if her shift was rough from start to finish.

Kaeya slides a tall cocktail in front of the patron. It was a simple Long Island Iced Tea, garnished with a slice of lemon sat on the rim of the glass. He smiles coolly when their eyes meet. "It's on the house," he says in a casual tone. "You look like you could use the drink." As he began to mix another cocktail order, he continued. "You seem weary, friend. Rough day?"

"i don't know much about this tradition but even i know this doesn't look right," he stated bluntly. In the club, the lights are flashy and colorful, spotlights moving with slow ministration. It’s huge, with patterns of a beehive predominant while looking like a mostly normal bar & club. however, beezlebub is cheering the crowd on as she watches a group of others chug her handmade honey-mead; beezlejuice. a hard drink indeed, and not to brag but— one of the hardest alcohols around. “WOOO! FUCK YEAH!” beezlebub shouts from the top of her lungs while standing on a tall, bright red table. she’s waving her hands in the air and has a grin spread across her face.

An hour ago he had jumped off a helicopter and swam back to the Island. Then there was a flash of white, and now... here they were. It looked like he had been dropped in modern society again — just like magic. Their eyes focused on the first person they saw. "Hey," Sawyer called out, jogging over to them in hopes of getting some answers. "What-" He paused, frowned, so bewildered that for a moment he couldn't think of what to say. "You see that flash of light in the sky?"
