RSRP Day 10

10. Do they sing?

When Shintaro is alone, he'll sometimes quietly sing songs from animes or video games he likes. He isn't bad at singing, but could never reach any high notes. (When he sings a song such as "Red Like Roses" with a really high note, he just becomes silent.)

- Turns out the guy who was tapping him was some black haired person with a red jersey, and looking none too pleased. Did he do something wrong? Did Yuuta unknowingly step on the person’s foot, or did he spill this person’s drink? However, when the male pulled his sleeve and attempted to drag him out, saying something about his dumb idea and wanting to go home, Yuuta easily put two and two together and realized that this guy probably mistook Yuuta for someone he knew.

"Um, excuse me, I don’t think we’ve ever met before.." Yuuta said, in a quite loud voice, since the song currently playing just dropped the bass, and let’s just say it was just way too loud for Yuuta’s ears to comprehend, and he winced a bit.

"Uh, but if you want to go home, I can take you if I want…" Yuuta added, not knowing what he might get himself into.

Once they got outside, he released his grip on the stranger's sleeve, sighing and placing his hands on his hips. "You drag me to this club and then you leave me? Way to go, you know, you'l-" Suddenly, Shintaro's eyes widened as he realized that this person was not his friend. He stared at the person with his mouth open, unable to grasp at the words he wanted to say. "You- I- I th-" He began to panic slightly and random words spluttered out of his mouth. "Ehhh!? I- I'm sorry!! I just thought.. You looked a lot like my friend! You aren't, are you? I can't believe I dragged you out of there! I didn't interrupt you of what you were doing-- Did I?! I'm sorry!!" He said, looking at the ground.

9. What movie can they quote off the top of their heads?

Shintaro doesn't often watch movies, so there's few he know's very well. As much as he'd hate to admit it, he could probably be able to quote and hum a lot of parts from My Neighbor Totoro.

- Yuuta was just bored out of his mind. He was always complaining about how he had no free time when he was busy, but when he had a few hours to himself, he was utterly confused on what to do.

Which is why he had exactly no idea what to do after he had the day off tomorrow from every single thing: rehearsals, classes, projects, even homework, he had finished everything. It was about 9 PM, and Yuuta found himself going to club at the Garden of Eden. Which didn’t matter since if Yuuta had a hangover, it would probably not matter, since he had the entire day off the following day.

Upon entering the club, every thing about the club just dulled his sense, the loud music, the bright lights, and the abundance of people there.  He felt someone tap him behind, and he just disregarded it as someone accidentally touching him. But when the tapping continued at a persistent rate, he eventually decided to turn around and address the person. “Um, yes? Were you tapping me?”

Colorful lights lit up the club whilst heavy bass songs started blasting in his ears. The club quickly became overheated as numerous people began to socialize with each other. A sense of dread fell upon Shintaro as he became overwhelmed by the crowd of people. That was it. He had to leave. He began intruding through the crowd to find one of his friends to take him home. If he was here any longer, he would lose it. "Ah, there you are." Catching sight of a boy around his age, he continued moving through the crowd until he got closer. He tapped on the shoulder of the boy in front of him. Short brown hair with a slim fringe, it had to be his friend. Shintaro tapped on the stranger's shoulder, assuming it had been his friend and awaited a response. After no getting a response, he continuously tapped on his shoulder until the boy turned around. "Listen. It was your dumb idea to bring us here and now we're going home." He sighed, grabbing at the stranger's sleeve. "We're leaving now." The fact that he had mistaken this stranger for one of his friends was really going to embarrass him later.

Shintaro doesn't really read books. Sometimes he glances over the occasional manga, but that doesn't count.

Shintaro stared out of the window of the empty arcade and watched as droplets of water slowly formed into puddles on the damp sidewalks. Not a lot of people went to arcades on weekdays, so it was almost certain no one was going to run in the rain to play a two minute game of air hockey. Shintaro sighed as he walked over to the video games, making sure each game worked fine and the joysticks weren't coated in any sugary goods from the last player. He occasionally looked up to see the other employee, Enomoto Takane, just as bored as he was. Despite both working at the same arcade, they made as little contact as possible. The only time he could remember talking to her was at a gaming competition a year or two ago. "Light Dancer Ene" was her screen name, and as much as he hated to admit it, it was actually pretty funny. After seeing each game in good quality, he spun around to face her. "Hey, 'Ene'. I don't plan on standing around this empty arcade for two more hours doing nothing. There's a two person zombie shooter we could play together to kill time. I don't care if you'd rather not play, but I'm sure we can both agree that that sounds more fun." He said in his usual apathetic manner as he went to get a few tokens from the counter.

馬) The person he bumped into was a lanky boy, maybe about…. 16? The boy was wearing a red track suit and wrinkled school pants, and he seemed not to be in a good mood. Probably Kazuma bumping into him just worsened his mood more or less.  Regardless, this person returned his bait to him, and maybe he probably knew where the cat was…. then again, Kazuma was just hoping for the best.

"Oh, thank you." Kazuma said, picking up the cat toy. "You see, I-" Kazuma was cut off by the boy speaking about how he assumed that Kazuma was looking for someone. Technically, he was looking for someone, but he wasn’t looking for someone at the same time. It was more of a creature or something?

"Well, to be blunt with you, I actually am not looking for someone. Rather, I’m looking for something, which reminds me, do you know if you’ve seen a beige cat, about the size of a shoebox around here? Well, that’s what I’m looking for."

A beige cat? No, that couldn't be the one he just saw, was it? He thought about it for a second before realizing that it was indeed the same cat. "Ah, I actually had seen it not too long ago.." He turned around to see if that cat was nearby, but of course, it had to continue walking away. "It was on the corner of the street right over there. It couldn't be too far from here.." he said, pointing at the street corner. "I mean.. I guess I can help you find it if you really need me to. You'll find it quicker that way." He said quietly. Shintaro had no idea why he offered to help this stranger. He almost felt as if he was obligated to.
