sometimes i get sad that caine doesnt dress himself up nearly as much as he does for the humans (makes sense since it's typically an adventure gimmick and he doesnt go on the adventures) but then i see an opportunity to spin yet another unfounded headcanon that he clings so tightly to his own perceived sense of identity that he refuses any change to his model out of fear that it could warp anyone's perception of him to something he cant control nor predict
#text#yet another part of his mask one could say. but it's also such a raw part of his being that i hesitate to call it fake either#caine is such a fascinating case of stagnation in which one boxes themself in out of fear of what awaits them outside#the comfort of familiarity over the terror of change and opportunity#its like. he worked so hard to create this identity for himself out of nothing. his programmers gave him nothing because he wasnt meant to#be anything more than a prototype. and he still became his own person#but then he latched onto what he made for himself to the point he was afraid of any form of change at all#partly out of pride. feeding his ego. but also not wanting to lose himself to the whims of others#idk. gestures wildly. im hungry#but who cares about all that#if no one got me i know japan and their popup events got me#banging my head against the wall for all the cute oufits they draw the cast in#lost my mind over the recent detective set. ouuughhh caine with the loose coat over the shoulders.... i need to be shot in the head#if i delete this post later i got shy
