hiikineeto:
“A-huh. Work.”
A brief, pathetic, thought passed through the NEET’s head. About some random child making more money than he ever did.
Which, really isn’t that hard to do when you haven’t worked a day in your life.
“Guess i’ll bite.” He really shouldn’t. “What’s your “job,” anyways?” Again, he’s internally questioning why he even cares so much. She really can’t have something valuable as a diamond.. or a ruby.. right?
“Aye.”
The child looked up at him, rocking on her heels as she looked up at him. Just who was this guy?
A long hard look. Did he really need to know her line of work? Shifting her hands behind her back, the girl hummed.
“I’m a robin,” she replied a bit cryptically. Like hell a thief would ever admit they were a thief. He would probably turn her into the cops or something.
“Like.. Robin Hood, right? Steal from the rich an’ give to the poor. Doesn’t exactly sound like the most.. practical job for a kid like you.”
Despite his lingering doubt, Yuri still decided to play along. The chance of this kid some how having something valuable, while still pretty damn low, were slightly higher now.
“Hey. I won’t tell anyone about your Robin Hood stuff or whatever. Rarely get out much anyways.. So your secret’s safe with me, alright?”
