happy start of the term! i can't believe it's taken me this long to start reading pdfs on my remarkable.
I visited Topping and Company in Edinburgh earlier this year and it was such a lovely time that I couldn’t not visit the one in Bath (thanks to @pourdownlikesilver for telling me about it!) I spent so much time deciding which book to get as it’s always overwhelming in the best possible way when I enter a bookstore for the first time. I ultimately decided on an exclusive copy of Water signed by the author John Boyne (whose earlier work The Heart’s Invisible Furies I thoroughly enjoyed, so I’ve got high hopes for Water!) Then I chose a couple of books to gift to friends. It was a lovely sunny day 🌞

i'm finally taking french classes, and i'm kinda proud of myself. this semester, we're finishing the A1 book, and it's a lower level than mine (i should be starting the A2 book), but it's good because i can see how much i learned on my own.
week 2 of the semester. monday really is the longest day this time. not gonna complain at all. maybe this is the memory of youth.
(but at least let me get a seat on the subway pls 😭)
(i got a seat as soon as I wrote that! 🍀✨)

The summer is such a nice time
Our table finally arrived, it’s so nice! I was really torn between this type of wood and a darker finish but I’m glad I went with this because it suits the room so well. Having somewhere to work that is not on the floor is a nice change, but we still don’t have any chairs so perching on a stool for now :’-)

spent the day writing my reports. i was studying in my dorm but then my friend invited me to her place so we spent hours together baking, studying, talking and just chilling. it was very nice<3. she gave me my new year’s gift and i gave her hers!!
p.s. i’m really loving this doodling on the pics thing, can you tell?
4.12.24 | Lately, it's been poetry & seaside excursions, indie bookshops on boats, quiet walks in the park & little free libraries. This evening, we ordered takeout from Much Ado About Pizza & got the Henry the 8th with four kinds of meat, which we then had "Marlowed" (i.e., pan pizza).
