Had the preorder pages for both open two hours before they actually launched and was giggling to myself like a madman while I waited :D

There are still a couple weeks left in the semester, but my professor gave us our assignment sheet for our final in case we want to get ahead. I was very delightfully surprised because he is pretty traditional in his teaching and assessment styles usually, but this time he's letting us do an alternative to writing a formal essay. Of course, I was very interested in that, so I asked him about it and he said that if I were to do that, there would be no page requirement, no required research for secondary sources, and I could basically make whatever creative project I wanted as long as it could be considered an adaptation of one of the primary sources from the semester. This poor man has no idea the kind of power he's given me.

For the record, I turned in the assignment with literally 10 minutes to the deadline.

The original (traditional) assignment was supposed to be 10-12 pages.

The story that I wrote was 155 (double-spaced) pages.

Had to sacrifice many nights of sleep and my other finals to get it done and I'm still not 100% happy with the ending but y'know.

WOOHOOO THE SEMESTER'S OVER

And that means I have approximately *looks at the watch I drew in pen on my wrist* 2 weeks to unpack, finish my incomplete assignments, get appointments for 300000000 different things, start researching my thesis, hang out with friends, relax, and do all the things I've put off for half the semester because I had too much schoolwork before my summer job starts harassing me to come in!!!!!

Ah yes, springtime has arrived again, which means it's time to play my favorite game:

You may think the phrase "He's just a little guy" comes from internet memes, but you would be wrong.

The true origin of the phrase belongs to celebrated author Tamora Pierce, in her 1983 novel Alanna: The First Adventure, when Gary says, "Still—what can Alan do for you? He's just a little guy"(49).

Thus, whenever we say of someone or some creature that they are "just a little guy," what we are really saying is that they are a short redheaded knight-in-training with some sort of Gender going on who will kick your butt given half a chance.
