BLOG ENTRY#4 "My Day 4 class experience in Certified Voice Artist Program"
Hello, today is the final day of CVAP and the final day of the class. Everything appears to be moving along so quickly that the final day arrives right away. Ma'am Lyn taught me that you should really put it in your portfolio or even if you have created your own voice reels that you can give to your clients if they need, for example, your capable voices if calm or something like upbeat. The voice artist really needs to be versatile. This is perhaps my biggest realization. One of the things I've come to really understand is that you should always be willing to learn, especially when another voice actor has a tip they think you might find useful. If there are free classes available, just sign up if you think you might be able to learn something useful about voice acting. Perhaps I took away from this experience the necessity to give your all in whatever you do as a VO since, of course, it's all a one-time event and you have to live up to your clients' expectations. Then Mam Lyn taught us the things that should be avoided when accepting clients, like having something to sign or talking about how it will be paid, as well as how to avoid scam clients or scam Facebook pages. She also taught us how a voice artist should make a resume and the productions in the Philippines that can be applied for, like Creativoices Productions.
