Thank you so much! I've been missing Narnia since the flood took my books (and a ton of other stuff, but it's the books I miss most)! Narnia's felt like home to me for ages, so I'm really looking forward to dive back in!

Throwback to the time that little hobbit ate a grain of rice off of a dirty dish, while passing through the kitchen. Then, he stopped to observe the dirty dish (which had been sitting there by the sink much longer than he had thought), only to realize that the other grains of rice were, in fact, wriggling, and were not in fact, grains of rice.

I think that everyone should experience reading The Long Halloween like I did, which is with @himbohobbit24 in the background playing “Something in the Way” by Nirvana on guitar but substituting the lyrics with parody Batman lyrics in his best Christian Bale voice

I was trying to make myself a protein shake, only to look into the cabinets and realized that we were out of powder. And I said to myself,

“There’s no way!?!?!?”

“…”

“Hehehe… there’s no whey.”

It always felt…wrong in a way. The ending of Dream Drop Distance. It wasn’t that I didn’t like it. Or even it’s sequel. But there was something unfulfilling about it. All these hints, but never any substance. A story, unwritten.

That’s why the story I’ve been writing has come out the way it has. Threads now followed, a vibe continued. Instead of hinting something has changed, it actually has. And in a huge way.

A fight over one boy’s heart. Torn between light and darkness.

And in the middle of it all, it brings out stories, connections not felt in the original. Voices woken up, giving guidance and hope: a light in the darkness. All to connect themes, as well as giving other characters a chance to shine, including Kairi. A princess, with an extraordinary heart. As well as others, but to mention them would be “spoilers!”

A story written with love for the story that begot it. While going it’s own way, and embracing the “what if.” Paring the story down to the most important bit: connection.

It’s coming. Soon. The first part has been written, with all its twists and turns. I love every bit of it, and it’s been a joy to write. And it’s just the beginning of the Oathkeeper's Light series.
