Weekly themes can help to bring your blog’s content together and let your visitors know what to expect for the next 7 days.
When you’re planning next month’s content, try to group them into themes, you might find this helps you to collate ideas and helps to keep your followers engaged.

Backing Up Your Tumblr
As I’m sure you know, there’s no in-built way to back up your tumblr. When it’s gone, it’s gone - if your account is terminated, you can request an archive of your posts, but they’ll only give you original content, no reblogs, and it comes in a spreadsheet format.
However! There are options to save your posts, tags and all. You can kick it incredibly old school and reblog every post you make to a sideblog/backup blog, attached to a separate email. I know people who have been doing this for years, and it’s a thorough, if laborious, method - the upside being if you do get deleted, you’ll automatically have a new blog with all your old posts to migrate to.
Another option - one I use - is revert. Revert is a freeware site that automatically backs up and saves all your tumblr posts (it can back up information on other sites as well). The great thing about Revert is that it completely copies your posts, tags and all, onto their servers, so if/when your tumblr is deleted, you’ll still have entire copies of posts you’ve made. It has a search function so you can easily search your archive. A saved post on Revert looks like this:
Once a post is saved, it won’t disappear from revert, even if the original post gets deleted.
If you’re worried about DCMA, or just want peace of mind, go get a revert account now!!!

So it’s rest day and there’s no training to be logged so instead I will provide you with something that I happened upon not too long ago.
For the longest time there really hasn’t been any options for backing up your tumblr.
BUT THERE IS NOW.
Have any of you heard of Revert IO?
I found it by chance not long ago.
Great thing is…IT’S FREE!!!!
I registered and started downloading right away. I even got a message from the founder. When I replied back telling him how thankful I was that there was finally a way to back up my blog, HE RESPONDED.
Now come on you guys…that is RARE.
Time of back up will depend on the size of your blog.
THE BEST THING THOUGH…..
I just got an email the other day that said (ARE YOU READY FOR THIS)
“Just a quick note to let you know that you can now bulk export/download your Tumblr back up from Revert. It will contain all of your attached photos!!!”
Now how great is that?!
Someone finally listened to what was needed and filled the niche.
To learn more about Revert IO you can visit them at their website https://revert.io/
They have a great blog with lots of information and they can also be found on twitter at @revert_io
As you can see it does more than back up your tumblr.
Thought some of you may be interested.
This is not a paid endorsement. I’m not getting anything for promoting this. I just thought it was great there was finally a solution for a needed tumblr back up.

Click through on the link above to see my personal collection of Tumblr add-ons for Firefox.
Included below is my quick review of the plugins in this collection along with the standard Tumblr bookmarklet.
My favorite plugin is the Shareaholic add-on because it is provides a full-featured posting option with access both from the toolbar and from the right-click context menu. (The only posting feature that is missing is text formatting.)
Tumblr Post actually has extremely limited posting options: only text, links and uploaded photos with no advanced features. However, I like the fact that with a right click on the toolbar icon, this plugin provide quick and direct access to each of your tumblogs and your dashboard.
The standard Tumblr bookmarklet obviously works well, but it requires an extra click to access if you do not routinely keep your bookmark bar visible.
Tumblr’s toolbar plugin is still another option, but it has 2 significant disadvantages: — the right-click share option is extemely limited (only for links with no advanced options), and — when you click on the toolbar icon, the window within which thei posting screen appears will completely disappear if your browser window loses focus. For this reason, I do not keep either of these plugins installed.
As of today (09.07.14) the Share on Tumblr plugin is not compatible with the current version of Firefox (32.0).
Hope this helps -- and if you know of any other good Tumblr add-ons for Firefox, please let me know! :-)
