LIL ANGIE YONAGA GHOST AU RANT

ive been daydreaming a lot about angie having a crisis as a ghost after dying in chap.3 and tenko comforting her. like, not exactly JUST because she is not in some sort of atua heaven, rather being distraught about her entire identity as a profet being "fake".

she probably would stop her carefree and happy way of being to finally face herself as separate from atua,. sort of griefing his "death" even. plus, angie would have to face everything that she lived in the killing game as not atua s plan or intentions, just horrible shit that happened to her, and now she is dead cause of that lmao, THATS BRUTAL. tenko probably would have an easier time giving angie a chance and understanding her like in this state. yk, since now there is no point in fighting over dying or scaping,, they all dead. tenko is also so empathetic, she would feel really bad for angie. i feel she would start to humanize her and see her as what she is: a morally grey person in lots of pain, just like everyone on the killing game.

i can also see angie feeling some amount of shame (big or small) after realizing all her efforts to protect everyone were in vain and, technically, thats her fault. is not like everything she heard from atua was actually him, it was in her head. if you pay attention to angie as a character, she sometimes deliberately lies and says her own will in the name of atua. still, that doesnt take away the fact she genuinely sees herself as a chosen one and special in the spiritual sense. she is smart and knows how to have her way. she probably thinks thats partly cus atua is on her side or guiding her. so the line between her will and atua s will is blured for angie.

accepting that was ALL her and that there is no greater meaning to her thoughts would totally fuck her up. idk if she would try lying to herself to manufacture some folklore or cope and hope for atuas comeback or something else. ive been debating on that since we never actually saw angie in dispair. bro is just that chill.
