Ranking the Akuma class based on who’s my favorite bc I’m bored
1. Ivan (I LOVE HIM. SO MUCH)
2. Juleka
3. Chloe
4. Adrien
5. Marinette
6. Nathaniel
7. Alix
8. Mylene
9. Alya
10. Nino
11. Rose
12. Max
13. Sabrina
14. Kim
15. Lila
One thing that annoys me about the Miraculous Paris special is that Chloé is still evil for some reason, like this is a universe of swapped moralities, where good people are bad and bad people are good, but then Chloé is still bad?
Like Betterfly has Nino and Alya helping him in the special, but honestly I would have preferred it if they swapped them with good versions of Chloe and Lila instead cause that would be alot more interesting.
Tikki had promised her the Ladybug cure could repair any physical damage caused by Akumas. And ever since she first transformed, Marinette had seen its magic. Had seen how even the tiniest of cracks fixed themselves that it seemed like it never existed before.
So why, why wasn't Chloe waking up?
or
Chloenette hurt/angst au where Chloe is in critical condition after an argument with her mother, leaving her shocked and hurt before an akuma attack left her injured. The wounds were gone, her breathing had gone steady so why, Marinette thought desperately, why isn't she opening her eyes?
Or or
Chloenette au where Marinette talks to Chloe in her sleep, and Chloe starts to listen. Maybe refusing to wake up was... wasn't the final destination after all.
I still truth that Chloe is a repressed lesbian. Her crush on Adrien was so comphet. Like why is she more obsessed with Ladybug and Marinette than her supposed crush?
Same can be said with Lila too.
This is the best ad for Project Hail Mary I have ever seen. Like if I was on the fence about watching or reading it, this would convince me to do so.
??? sorry did Michael Fucking Mouse Himself just like my yume art on twitter
I like how I'm literally number 2 after Disney 😂
With all this debate of Thomas Astruc’s poor writing decisions, particularly with Chloe in Queen of the Dreadzone. It reminded me of an old thought I had.
We all know the rumour that Chloe was based off of an old bully of Thomas’s. And is that true? No, most likely not.
But with the way he’s interacted with fans recently when discussing her, and the way her character has been written in the last few years…I can see why people believe it could be true.
The way he keeps being baiting into arguing about her. How he’s refused to acknowledge she’s being exploited and abused by every adult around her. (I rewatched Penalteam and Hawkmoth calling Chloe “his favourite striker” will never not be weird) and how he’s started bashing her fans in the show. It all comes off as very personal. He’s got a personal grudge against her and her fans.
So if someone who was new to miraculous, as of now (god help them if they are) watched the entire show and then got told about the rumour. I wouldn’t blame them if they believed it.
Does anyone else wish Adrien and Chloe’s relationship was explored more? I wish they showed us them actually being friends. I swear, it felt like Adrien was no closer to Chloe than he was to anyone else in his class.
especially with whole damnation arc desperately needing a relationship like to be broken, so that it could have some sort of impact.
It would've made chloe doubling down on her bad habits far more intresting if the show acknowledged her nd Adrian's relationship in a less shallow way then "she has a crush on him, and he somewhat cares for her"
Think about it, he's the only person she really likes without there being a clear power dynamic. The only person she doesn't see as some peon that should know it's place or an idealized figure she puts up on a pedestal, and so she gets super possessive once she's not his only friend, now he has other people.
He doesn't need her anymore.
Then there's the obvious Adrien side where she's the only person that treats him not like prop. But an actual human being, so when he finds out she's been treating everyone else – the only other people who treat as a person, and let him into there community – like disposable trash, he has a hard time translating this with his original view of her, sure she can be rude sometimes but she means well! Doesn't help how clingy she's gotten, it's like chloe's a whole different person.
Then when the whole miracle queen debacle happens, Adrien goes to talk to her -comfort, debate, scold whatever it doesn't matter here- but chloe doesn't listen, so angry about the events, getting tricked by hawkmoth and abandoned by ladybug and just blows up at him, telling him how just used her and to never pretend to be her friend again. Because that must be why right? Everytime someone acted like they believed in her -hawkmoth calling her his queen, ladybug letting her use the bee miraculous- they just used her, and when she stopped being useful to them she got thrown away like a doll, he was so desperate for friends he lowed himself down to her, and when he got people he actually liked he didn't need her anymore.
But that's not what happened.
Because miraculous is really bad at writing girl boy friendships.
Honestly the way Chloé and Zoé are treated in the show makes it so clear they were written by a man
Chloé has very obvious makeup on, in both the old and new artstyle, this shouldn't be a problem as many people wear makeup, Chloé is also proud of herself and very sassy and sarcastic, both of these character features are used to show that her character very clearly falls into the trope of the "vain and rich mean girl"
Meanwhile Zoé, who is shown as being the good version of Chloé, has no makeup on and has lost Chloé's proud and sarcastic personality, this is partly why Zoé is so boring as she is a clone without any of the parts that made the original fun to watch, but it also show that Austruc clearly thinks women who wear makeup and are sassy are villainous, while the natural and kind woman is seen as a better and improved version
It's heartbreaking to see a female empowerment show aimed towards girls falling into such old tropes and views about makeup and personality because it's teaching the completely wrong message to it's audience
chloenette crack au where Marinette is a struggling college student who is also still Ladybug and to pay for some of her bills/tuition, she decided to open art commissions. She has an 'anonymous' client who insists on having Queen Bee x Ladybug fanart because 'they are the most compatible ship compared to Ladybug and that lousy cat!'
or
Marinette is an artist, Chloe is a loyal client. They both don't know that. Marinette is Ladybug, Chloe is Queen Bee. They also don't know that. Then they fall in love which, shockingly, they find out in the most ridiculous way.
Marinette, having to look at Queen Bee longer because her client wants another commission and holy shit it was worth 5k: Do you always wear blue eyeshadow?
Chloe, trying to play it cool despite wanting to jump off the building and fly off: Depends, do you always look at it?
Adrien, oblivious to everything: God, they're talking secret code without me again?
Franchaela knight x princess
a visitor on the biodome!!
I'm rewatching collusion and oof Chloe really is manipulated all the time huh? In the end she's never really had power. Only time she had autonomy was season 2, season 3 she was manipulated by hawkmoth, season 4 well I suppose she wasn't used but season 5 it brvsje Lila and season 6 is now Noe.
She's a tragic character because she will always be used for her foolishness and high self esteem with a desperation for love. So yeah she's a tragic character and I don't mind her arc
