omg this was just my scenario standing in the corner of the kitchen with two kids screaming at my ankles with a jumpy puppy attached to me while wearing a baby who is nursing and grabbing and pulling on my necklace and trying to scoop yogurt into popsicle molds which is no easy task FUCK something has got to give from time to time. no one should have to endure that much stress in a 2-3 minute period DONT HAVE KIDS DONT GET A PUPPY JUST TRAVEL WITH YOUR PARTNER AND CUDDLE AND HAVE SEX AND GO ON WALKS AND REJOICE IN FREEDOM

i want....

- to start waking up at 7 and going to bed before 11 - to spend more time doing crafts and less time on my phone - to transition to vegetarian and eat more whole foods - to read more books - to be more open to life each day and to be more present and mindful - to not stress over small things that dont really matter - to be a better parent to my children and to stop forgetting that they imitate me so i need to be the best version of myself - to not fall into the trap of being lazy - to cook all of our meals at home, go on walks every day, do yoga every day and meditate every morning - to find my rhythm in my childbirth education course - to find happiness where i am at

gratitude is the attitude you guys

i can feel myself becoming more ok with bugs. last summer when we moved here i thought i was going to die because every time something buzzed past my head i ran inside! but now i can actually see a wasp around me and not hyper ventilate & run away and if something buzzes by my head im just kinda like meh. its nice lol, it makes being outside a lot more enjoyable

there is something weirdly fulfilling about doing outside chores in the morning rain lol but for real i want a rain coat

house breaking is definitely a one step forward two steps back kind of thing i guess. yesterday he only had 1 accident inside and was even going to the back door or making it so obvious that he had to go. today he has peed like 4 times in the house and we just spent over an hour outside and i tried to get him to go pee before we went back inside but he wouldnt so i figured he didnt have to and literally the second we go in he walks over to the spot where he pees most and squatted so i got him back outside and tried to get him to go and he just lays down. like fine. you can just stay outside then.

i think there is someone in my house crying/screaming at all times. its either the baby, or the toddler or the preschooler or everyone is freaking out bc of the dog what have i done with my life 😩

when the puppy is out of his crate my house is a fucking zoo! aspen crying, bin screaming, avery and the puppy playing and im just like OK WHO WANTS TO WATCH MOANA?!

just found the most perfect property.... 37 acres w a run down 2 bedroom house on it. i want to buy it...put up our yurt then make it a project to fix up the house and rent it out or air bnb it. the price is just 😍😍😍 ugh dreams

yesterday i turned 27 ✨ time to start my 28th revolution around the sun

so we put a note in our neighbors mailbox asking if we could walk his driveway and he said sure thing so this is our new daily walking trail and i just feel so grateful. how does this amazing piece of nature exist right outside of our door?!

the first few days with this dog was outrageously stressful. up to the point that yesterday i was considering selling him (bad dog mom) bc with 3 kids and house breaking and having to snap him up to take him outside constantly and constantly keeping him in my view so that he wont chew or pee or whatever was making me crazy. then i finally understood the concept of crate training. he sleeps well in his crate at night but i didnt really understand day time crating. like oh, if i cant really watch him i can just put him in the crate. and he takes to it pretty well. he will lay in it for about an hour or so which is perfect cus thats enough time for us to make meals, play a bit with toys, do crafts & for me to do house work without having to worry about him eating my stuff and peeing all over the carpet. right now we're kinda working on an hour in, an hour out. we have played a lot, byron took him on a walk this morning, we have worked on some training, he has spent over an hour outside. this afternoon he'll probably have more time out than in as i want to be able to put him in during dinner prep and such. this makes me things sooooo much easier

anyone get a puppy with their so and then their so is making it obvious that he's not really into it so youre kinda left to take care of the puppy alone???? im pretty much there

house breaking is so hard

its actually not that hard but i hate the time between after dinner and bedtime with him. he's in and out probably 10 times and just wont poop but i know the second i distract myself he will poop on the carpet! and he is constantly up sniffing around when inside and like tricking me into taking him outside so he can just lay in the grass 😩😩 i just wish he would laaaaay down. we did a few 3ish minute sessions in the crate today. the first time was great, the second time was terrible & the third one was alright enough for me to feel like we can move to 5 minutes by tomorrow. i want to try and do 3 sessions per day (i should totally schedule them that would be awesome, one in the morning, one during quiet time & one in the evening) and increase by 2 minutes whenever i feel that he's ready to move on. but anyways i would love to just be able to crate him while i'm cleaning up the kitchen and byron does bedtime and let him out when byron comes out. anyways, im tired lol i wish this pup would lay down for a bit

i meant to post this last night

this puppy will start to pee inside and i clap my hands and scoop him up and take him outside then he pees outside and i praise him then we come back in and he starts to sniff and squat again and so i clap again and scoop him up and take him back outside and he doesnt pee...just lays down....oh puppers gotta say that this will be our third night together and so far things are going well. it definitely helps that we are always home and everyone is obsessed with him lol. also i try and stop inappropriate chewing on non puppy toys, puppy bites to the toes and clothes and hands and we're starting to correct his jumping. also at night he sleeps in his crate and we did a few crate training sessions today. so hopefully that starts to improve over the next few days bc as aspen starts to crawl i am going to want to put him up a couple times a day to give her the space she needs without being bombarded by a puppy. also we started to practice 'sit' and 'come' and he is doing both commands very well. i see it as, the better behaved he is, the easier it will be to have him assimilate into our family. even though our decision to bring him into our family was totally impulsive, i am feeling so committed to training and loving this pup. he already is so loved by everyone!
