               “Not necessarily!” he could be one that they could never get to deflate, doomed to live a life of inconvenient puffiness. she was startled by the robots sudden animation and took a step back, but quickly realised that he wasn’t scary at all, and gave a little wave back. “Baymax, huh? So he’s, like… your own personal doctor?”

Ah--She doesn’t know? Well, maybe he was dreaming too big to go to a place where Stark was the star and expect people to recognize who the Team Big Hero 6 was. After all, they were based pretty far away...

“Yeah, somethin’ like that. He likes to help everyone too. It’s kind of our thing.” Ugh but that sounds more and more like the personal doctor idea...nothing like a superhero. “...Was hopin’ to show Mr. Stark this weekend at the convention.”

               maud knew there was some kind of nerd convention on this weekend but to be honest, she expected a bunch of sweaty neck beards to flood the city, not a heap of little kids. “You don’t say…” she muttered, reaching out to give the robot a curious poke. “What even is it? It looks like a defective airbag.”

  “Pff--” That was new. A defective airbag, huh? “...Don’t you think a defective airbag would be, i dunno, flat?” The boy chuckles a bit before poking at the vinyl skin surrounding the robot’s small skeleton. “He’s a nurse-bot. And he’s got feelings too, so refrain from saying ‘it’, yeah?” As he says this, Baymax raises his hand and gives a stiff, animatronic wave. 

     “Hello!”

hirotensai liked for a starter.

               “Nice lookin’ robot you got there.”

     “Whu?” A questionable gaze was given from the younger and there was a moment to process-- did she mean the little black robot hanging out of his backpack just slightly or the super tall white one standing right beside him? Probably the latter. “Uh ’Phanks--” He’s still got his straw in his mouth up until this point. “...you’re the first calm reaction. Everyone’s too eager to meet him ‘round here. Probably Stark’s fault.”

Pax:

   He smiled warmly, hands behind his back as he rocked back and forth on his heels. “ N-Nn, yeah.. I just..Had to get away for awhile. But I’m back now ! “

    “Yeah, dude, I noticed.” He laughs, smiling cheerfully. Normally the kid was so awkward, but Pax was one of those rare bodies he was comfortable around. “Wanna play? I patched up my old soccer ball so it’s not flat anymore.”

Pax:

   GASP ! 

     “ Hiro-kun ! “ he exclaimed, “ Is it really you !? “

    “The one and only!!” Hiro stands up straight in the same way he would if he was being addressed by a camera in the eyes of a big hero six fan. But why for Pax? --Bad habit, probably.

   “But I should be saying the same thing to you. I havent seen you in a while either, y’know?”

Nanami:

               with her parents, it would have been a travesty if she turned out to be anything less than polite. shes always said please and thank you and been kind to those who weren’t to her; a true lady. shes the only one who really lived up to their expectations, though, with her younger sister being a hyperactive goofball and her older brother being a moody grump. but thats a story for another time.

               “Hiro Hamada, w-what a lovely name.” and one that she recognised from somewhere, she just couldn’t put her finger on it. her eyes travel in the same direction, but dont land on the building across the way, instead they land upon the mountains of books the younger had piled on his desk. there were texts about electrical and mechanical engineering, physics and biology; all subjects nanami didn’t quite understand. “I-I hope I didn’t interrupt your s-studies all too much, Hiro.”

He can’t help the deep blush that darkens his cheeks. He’d heard many compliments but it wasn’t often when someone told him his name was lovely. It was embarrassing...probably something Honey Lemon would say... again, embarrassing. He can’t help but stutter out a little thanks as he moves over to his pile to move the books around. It’s unintentional-- he realizes that there’s no reason to be moving them around at all...

“Well...actually you helped me out, so there’s no trouble at all.” He finally stops when he picks up the engineering textbook from the top shelf. “I can be stubborn sometimes..wouldn’t have asked for the help...So, thanks.” He would have looked for a ladder eventually.

Eventually.

Nanami:

               and like a brick getting thrown at her face, nanami suddenly remembered everything. the rumours about some little kid walking around campus carrying out of this world thick text books. sightings of him sitting in the back of lectures and waiting in line at the cafeteria. she felt like a fool having not put the pieces together sooner. “S-Still… I-I truely am s-sorry.” she said as she straightened herself up, her face still beet red with embarrassment. “M-My name is Nanami, by the w-way. Even thought e-everyone is talking about you, I-I’m afraid I don’t know yours…”

At least she was polite. A lot of people around here weren't as well mannered as she. Well, not like he was one to be super by the book--maybe it was just a thought that rubbed off on him due to having a goodie-two-shoed brother most his life...

   “Really...it’s okay.” He’s always been quite shy but almost a year in College and being on the news for his heroisms has helped him grow out of this quirk. Sort of. “Nice to meet you, um..th’names Hiro...Hiro Hamada.” His eyes wander to the window where one would see the Hamada memorial building across the courtyard, but he doesn't say anything else.

               shes silent at first as she hasn’t yet processed his words. her eyebrows than raise slightly, her eyes widen and her mouth hang slightly ajar. her cheeks glow brighter with each passing second as she realises her mistake, her words becoming a horrendous string of stutters. “I-I’m so s-sorry! I-I didn’t m-mean to assume…!” nanami bowed her head apologetically, her head falling forward to hide her tomato red face. “I-I’m sorry I t-thought you were in e-elementary school!” what a situation she had gotten herself into.

His big brown eyes merely blink back at her. He’s a little surprised, standing up straight and blood rushing to his cheeks in embarrassment. A few people looked their way for a moment in order to investigate the sudden apologies and he knows what they’re thinking. They know who he is-- they probably feel bad for her... she’s the only one around here that doesn't know. 

“Hey, it’s cool. I mean--you only thought that way just because I look like it right?”       Hiro smiles awkwardly. “I-I am only fourteen after all.”

               “You’re welcome. Now hop down before you hurt yourself!” she may be studying to become a paediatrician, (she’s pretty sure he’s older than the children she’s aiming to treat anyway) but she does not want to deal with broken bones today. placing the text book down on the table where he had set up shop, she got a look at the title; something to do with mechanical engineering. a subject nanami definitely wasn’t smart enough to understand, which made her wonder how this kid was. “Interesting choice. Is this for a school project or something?”

Hiro hops off the chair and lands on his two feet safely. Albeit a bit reckless of him ... but he pays no mind to the danger he was in and makes his way to the work space he was planning on going through the book at.

     “I wouldn’t really say that...” He says, taking the book to slide it closer to himself. “I’m currently working on my bachelors so I wanted to study up during my free time. I mean-- I probably already know everything this book has to say but it wouldn't hurt to see if there’s something new, right?”

               nanami felt like she should stop him. no, she knew that she should stop him. but watching this kid try balance the chair he was standing on up against the bookshelf in order to reach the text book he wanted was fascinating. although after a while, when the chairs leg was bending just a little too much, nanami walked over and plucked the book from amongst the others, holding it out to the boy with a smile.

He should have brought a jet pack. Or Baymax. He knew he was going to the library today and he brought nothing to help him. Hiro was near close to a sudden death--the chair was creaking, he was leaning a bit too far out --and the book was still just a few inches away. How was he this short?

“Ah--?”

He turns his head to find a girl standing nearby, her guilty hands having stolen the book he was after right off the shelf like it was nothing..  She was no Baymax but she was helpful at least.

                    “Th...thanks.”

Anthony:

Messing with time was always a bad idea, even going back is risky because the chance of wanting to change something is so great… you could even do it unintentionally. And trust him when he says that he’s had the thought of changing the past cross him on more than one occasion.

A large hand is offered to the male on the ground, the floor didn’t really suit him as a proper work space, ❝ You should know better than anyone that I would want to change the past too. But some things are just better left alone– even if we have the desire to bring someone important back. ❞ You can almost see the pain in his eyes, a pain that’s never left whenever the subject is brought up. However, he musters a smile nonetheless, ❝ What’s brought this up anyways? Why all of a sudden? ❞

He smiles, but the gesture is bittersweet. That was his first thought too. When the file was pushed in his direction and the man wearing the crooked glasses proposed the idea of time travel -- An older figure from his past came to mind more than once. He took it but gave no answer. 

“Yeah.” This was all he could muster up, his eyes wandering across the messy work space and away from his long time friend. He reaches a hand out, but not toward him either, and pulled forward the bag he dragged to school every day. “You see...I was approached by a pretty intimidating guy after class yesterday. Said he wanted to talk to ‘the big shot teenager with more accomplishments than his Father’....whatever that means. I don’t even know his old man...”

He has a file. It’s closed and held tightly between his fingers. 

“They asked if I wanted to attempt a government project -- top secret stuff. They said not to tell anybody but like hell I’m gonna keep it from you.”

Anthony:

That answer really suited Hiro, but Anthony also could have sworn that the other would go get a sneak peak at the future, to see what was in store for him. Maybe get a cheat sheet in life and if he didn’t like it– could change it to how he saw fit. That sounded more like Hiro than anything else… but to be fair, this answer didn’t surprise him either.

He taps his leg with a finger, a snort coming from him out of amusement, ❝ You do realize that could hold drastic consequences. Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect? One small change in the past could lead to drastic alterations here in the present. ❞

“I know.”  Of course he knows. He’s a certified genius-- he knows just about anything. Right? He thinks this and yet he’d still make the dumb decision to change a past event to fix his future...even though it was obvious to him something even worse could happen. If he was dropped in a situation that he knew he could change, he wouldn’t hesitate. No...if he was dropped in a situation where someone’s fate could be changed.....  But maybe thats the Hero inside him. Being the leader of a group of superheros since the age of thirteen does that to a guy. 

“I like your idea.”  He finally says. “Going back to relive events. If changing something isn't an option...then at least I could relive some of the better days.” Just before his chair could finally snap and bring him to the ground, Hiro leans forward again. “I’d like to see my parents maybe...i forgot what they looked like in person.”

Anthony:

He had been preoccupied with his own activities for the past couple of minutes, doing whatever he could to pass the time. Reading articles he found or even listening to music, anything to make the hours tick by that much faster. It was when the other spoke did he find his attention coming back to the younger.

❝ Probably the past, ❞ he gives a shrug, having actually thought about this more than usual, ❝ I don’t wanna’ know what’s in the future because then I’d try to change it, and that’s never a good idea, ❞ he then crosses his arms in thought, ❝ Though if I had to be fair, I wouldn’t want to change anything in the past either, so it’d just be for reliving moments I suppose. ❞

A smile creeps onto the younger male’s face as he continues to lean probably a bit too far back in his chair. He had a feeling that Anthony’s answer would come to that... they never really talked about this before though. But it was an interesting subject stuck to the corner of his mind when a certain proposal was suggested his way.. .and he wondered, if he ended up going through with it, what would the people use it for anyway?

“I guess we’re the opposite then.” Hiro says nonchalantly, tapping the end of his pencil against the arm of his char. “I’d want to go to the past...to change it." He’s quiet for a moment, but then lets out a small laugh. “Ah, or maybe that’s too obvious for me?”

Callaghan: Mr. Hamada, pay attention!

Hiro: What? I thought you'd finished!

Callaghan: You see my lips still moving, this means I'm still talking!

Hiro: Yeah, but you could have been yawning or... chewing.
