When you steal someone’s character/characterization, you’re not just stealing from them, you’re also keeping yourself from ever learning how to get better on your own. So really no one wins not even you. You could be so creative or learn how, but instead you’re robbing yourself of the opportunity and thats kind of sad tbh. Even something mediocre is good if you worked on it on your own to get there. It’s better than being good on someone else’s stuff. That’s not being good at all.

I think people have the misconception of Ciel being emotionally mature relative to his age. True/false?

send me a misconception you think people have about my character and I’ll explain if it’s true or not.

that IS a slight misconception. albeit, it would be understandable in regards to HOW he could be viewed as mature in terms of emotions relative to his age. however, should this be a reminder given that ciel is a child ; he is likely to be undergoing the inevitable phrase of puberty at this moment. furthermore, he is naught more than a mere human ; this recognition was brought to him long ago, taking place after a time of his aunt’s death. with that being said, ciel is aware of the fact that he is as susceptible to emotions as any other would be, and truthfully, that is one of the few things he despised the most: ciel hates to let emotions be in control of people. therefore, the idea of ciel being slightly IMPULSIVE has struck quite close to home.

ciel may be a child prodigy and have a card played at the back of his palm, but there are times when he is impulsive and one good example to be taken here would be his rash decision of burning the mansion down in the book of circus. given the circumstances that time and how he was severely triggered due to the exposure of the scene ( reenactment ) to him that time, it is to be expected. but more often than not, ciel does think before he speaks or do something, and hence making him seem rational; the major part of him where most people would see him as someone who is not as emotional as a typical person at his age. that’s wrong. he still does face emotion; throughout the whole manga, he had shared moments of his random fits of anger, satisfaction with a sly smirk, panic and fear evident on his face, and several more. it is subtle, but the

so, that leads down to one final point to be elaborated. with reference to my last few points where i have stated that ciel hates to let emotions to be in control of people, that would explain why he seems rather ruthless most of the time. he had also went to the point of manipulating few people’s emotions and thoughts; one example of this is how he had taken snake into his household by feeding him lies that would be deemed a bliss / fantasy to one. another prime example to be given would be the incident where he had pulled out a gun to sieglinde’s head and asked if she’d rather be dead.

thoughts ≠ emotions. the reason why ciel seemed emotionally mature is because he was able to read through a situation quickly which is something that an average person would not often be able to do. they say that he handles his emotions well, but mind you, after encountering several hardships, it could be safely deducted that it has also put a rather big impact on his mental health itself.

tldr; ciel seems quite emotionally mature for his age, but once you go down the surface, you would actually see that he isn’t exactly as mature as people would make him out to be, had it not been for his ability to be rational.
