[he was only trying to get to the kitchen. That was all he wanted. but no, what’s happened? he smells something sharp, acrid, and unfamiliar— his Sazanaaran anatomy isn’t really built for parsing a warning for “fire.”
[but he’s been here for a while, anyway. Fire isn’t as unfamiliar as all that, and he does know how to cook. but fire here? bad sign. running forward. there’s a student there, standing awkwardly/hesitantly/unrepentantly back from the flames, but he can barely even spare a glance at his azur to read his emotional state deeper.]
Hey, get out of the way! [the problem is, Ness has not heard of fire extinguishers. So when he sees a fire that needs to be put out, there’s only one way that he knows how.] You’re gonna get swept away!
[crossing his arms over his chest, focusing, and beginning the movements. even though it’s not the same magic you’d know, Morgan, you’ll hopefully know enough to get out of the damn way when someone is casting. and indeed, there’s a huge rushing sound, and water is starting to crash down around him out of nowhere.]
[If you haven’t scrambled for it already, Morgan, you’re going to be literally slammed with what feels like a rather painful amount of water, impacting you directly and temporarily filling the whole corridor, rushing over the fire, and the curtain, extinguishing it immediately.]
[however, oddly enough, once it’s done that, the noise and the water just— disappears, leaving an oddly displaced echoing sound. The plant, however, charred and sorry-looking, has wound up halfway down the corridor. But you— if you were caught— and the curtain, and the carpet— all miraculously dry, even though the fire is gone, and there’s a seriously-frowning person standing there quietly, looking at the curtain.]
