basement buddies || leighton and matt

Leighton: felt like she had not had a night out in forever. With everything that had happened, it felt good to be back out in the world and socialising again. She also had a soft spot for Halloween, her childhood wasn't the greatest but this was always a night she could dress up and be something else, which she enjoyed. Leighton took some time to walk around the mansion, it was nice to take sometime with away from the madness of it all. She had been walking for a while when she ended up in the basement. Leighton tried the door but it wouldn't budge. "This isn't funny." She said to no one in particular. "If you're trying to scare me you have to try harder." She said, once again, trying to unlock the door.

Matt: He really tried not to party too much... Knowing the toll it took on his body, and trying to be a good personal trainer. But he also loved to party when he allowed himself to. Getting this invite, he figured it was a bit of a gimmick but he liked Halloween and wanted to check the place out. He wasn't even sure how he ended up in the basement, but he felt lost in the place, not remembering how he got in... Maybe he had a couple too many shots at the bar. Hearing a voice, he turned around and looked about. "Hello?" he called out, trying to follow the voice. "What's not funny?" he asked, finally coming up to the person who was yelling.
