it’s 2025 im done arguing if you hate annabeth chase im straight up killing you
connor: hey perce. we figured you could use a boys weekend—no diapers, no dishes, just us, a beach house in cape cod, and an irresponsible amount of alcohol. six months from now. you in?
percy: ah, no can do man. appreciate the invite, but uh… i got a baby comin around then.
leo, horrified: holy shit. another one!?
chris: we thought the jackson baby factory had shut down! do we need to give you the talk?
percy, putting his hands up in surrender: woah, hey— i was just following orders.
travis, laughing: and how’s that?
percy: annabeth tells me she wants a baby, i give her a baby.
frank, trying not to laugh: like… immediately?
grover, shaking his head: do you even want another?
percy: jesus, guys. why the hell would i say yes if i didn’t? it’s our fourth, not our fifteenth! and yeah, we've been talking about it for a while. we love babies, we love parenting, we’re financially stable, the kids are excited… we’re happy. sorry our marriage is healthy and functional?
the guys: *giving in and congratulating him*
leo: so… you can’t just come on the trip until she gives birth to it?
People don’t talk about Kronos using Annabeth as leverage against Percy enough.
“It’s time to surrender or the girl dies” because Kronos knew if it was Annabeths life at stake Percy would give up the world.
and Annabeth knew it too. “Percy, don’t.” because he really would risk it all to make sure she’s alive
He does notttt play when it comes to her
percabeth making 'you give me grey hairs' jokes would be peak comedy
RIP Sirius Black, you would've loved how your godson kissed his best mate's sister in front of the whole Gryffindor common room.

So, I’ve been getting some confused asks/messages lately. People are wondering why I’ve said I want Percy to be a firefighter, but also a marine/aquatic veterinarian, but also a rescue diver.
Here’s the thing: you’re actually all right. Because why can’t he do it all??
Percy has so much potential and a long life ahead of him. I think it’d be so cool if he started out as a firefighter—maybe during late college and into his mid-20s. Then he goes to vet school while still working at the fire station (to support the fam but mainly because he loves it). Eventually, he becomes a practicing marine veterinarian who uses his ability to speak to sea creatures to save lives and protect marine-life health. And throughout all of it, he still often picks up shifts at the firehouse when he’s needed or just feels like it.
Deep sea diving would be more of a hobby, and rescue diving something he responds to when the situation calls for it. I also fully believe he’d occasionally teach sword-fighting classes at Camp Half-Blood on the weekends, and he’d 100% respond to marine life emergencies (like sharks on the beach or sea turtles caught in plastic in the ocean) when they happen. I can even see him teaching at New Rome as a professor in his 60s/70s. And through it all, he stays a part-time firefighter until he physically can’t anymore.
Some people think he’d be a social worker, so why can’t he volunteer at child protection organizations? Some people think he’d establish safe houses for demigods—I personally think Annabeth is the one who does that, using her architecture job and since she was the one on the streets as a kid, but why can’t her husband help her and contribute his own ideas to the project? Maybe he teaches surfing classes at some stage of his life where he has more off time or needs more income. Hell, he could even lead some boat voyages, too, and maybe write a couple books over the span of his lifetime.
It’s not like he has to do it all in one day. He doesn’t have to be busy 24/7. He’s got time. He’s got his whole life. I can see him doing ALL of it. So like… why are we acting like he has to choose just one path?? Percy has SO much talent and such a huge heart. He’s got the potential to use his unique gifts in a hundred different ways—to help people, help animals, and protect the world he loves. And at the same time, I know he’d be such a loving and present husband, son, friend—and dad to like five chaotic kiddos.
Rick may not always be the most consistent writer when it comes to Percy, but there’s one thing he has always been consistent at showing: Percy is extraordinary. He accomplishes things no one else can. So yeah, I think he’d be an extraordinary firefighter. And an extraordinary marine vet. And an extraordinary diver, rescuer, teacher, husband, father, and more.
He is Percy freaking Jackson. He can do anything and everything he sets his mind to.
Here are links to a couple of my other posts discussing this:
Reading through an anti Annabeth/anti percabeth post is just an exercise in saying “she was 12. she was 14. that’s her fatal flaw. you’ve misread the book for children. you’ve misremembered thing. cite your sources. you don’t know what a toxic relationship is” over and over.
percabeth prom anyone?
order of the phoenix harry is a whole different breed of savage.
cho is trying to defend her friend for selling out dumbledore’s army and say that hermione was mean for the acne jinx she put on the parchment. harry, all unbothered is like, i thought it was brilliant.
and when cho gets all jealous and worked up, harry the little legend is like:
“don’t start crying again”
harry gets dragged through the mud this book but he’s such a little shit in it and i’m obsessed.
am i the only one who thinks harry becoming an auror is not an out of character or unrealistic choice for a career? yes he hated the corruption in the ministry and the way things were run and no he wouldn’t want to be in any real position of power, but rounding up and capturing all remaining deatheaters? putting a stop to pureblood supremacist groups? trying to make the world a better place for people like teddy, aka the orphaned boy whose parents died fighting in a war so the rest of them could live in a peaceful world, free from discrimination, persecution, genocide etc? do i think this is a burden he should have to carry around? of course not. but do i think it’s actually very in character for him to work at the ministry and try to make a better, safer and fairer world for everyone? yes!
that being said, do i still believe him becoming a teacher is also in character and a perfect canon full circle moment for him? HELL yes. and in my mind, he took over as the dada professor after about ten-fifteen years at the ministry. maybe when he’s in his mid-late thirties, he’s thinking he wants to spend more time with his kids, and ginny is very supportive of him not putting himself in danger every day at work. so while he’s still an auror, mcgonnagal gets him to come guest lecture every now and again over the years at hogwarts for dada while he’s still at the ministry, and ginny reminds him how much he loved teaching the da, and how he should take a step back, because he isn’t responsible for stopping every single bad thing that happens. he can and should live his own life too. so he eventually takes up the job full time, to mcgonagall’s delight (and neville’s), but he floos to and from work every day, because he only agreed to be a professor on the condition he could teach all day but live/sleep at home (being away from ginny and the kids wouldn’t have worked for him, let’s be real). and that is the end of my rant, thank you for listening.
Ignoring the fact that at one point in his life, Harry depended on Ginny for emotional support and solace, this self-claimed author would like to bring light on the fact that yes, Harry and Ginny were indeed a best-friends to lovers trope as much as Hermione and Ron were.
Sure, there was never much light on how Harry and Ginny's story started, but it was slow. From strangers to his best friend's sister, to a worthy opponent and teammate in Quidditch, to a trusted comrade in war, it's impossible to ignore what came in between.
And that was the quiet nights spent talking, the friendly banter during Quidditch, Harry seeking Ginny out when the world became a tad too much for him, Ginny calling out Harry for his pompous heroism and self-sacrifice, Harry being there during Ginny's reckless moments and her boy troubles, the after-class conversations beside the lake, the nights with spiced chocolate in the common room, Harry thinking to himself that he needed to tell Ginny what happened in class today and hurrying to find her, Ginny doing the same.
It was slow until Harry realised that indeed, it was Ginny's soft voice that got through him most times than not, and after that, it was not long before Ron and Hermione understood it too.
It came to a point where it was Ginny that they called anytime Harry was being a stubborn ass, and it was Harry that they called anytime Ginny got into her wild, reckless fits that made them think she'd burn down the world at any moment.
It started them depending on each other emotionally, before they realized that in fact, they couldn't lose one another at all.
And that was also how they realized, that indeed, they were in love.
Pjo headcanon:
Percy “does not and will not make eye contact while talking and is struggling to pay attention” Jackson
vs
Annabeth “making direct eye contact 24/7 even if no one’s talking and is constantly taking in information” Chase
I know it’s true that Annabeth and Percy still bicker and annoy each other but you can’t deny that after they started dating they fought wayyyyy less. Because it used to be described that they fought like they were going to rip each others heads off but when they got together that dynamic seems to have went away right away because they are not like this in the staff of Hermes a month into dating and are already much more gentle with each other. Why do you think that went away so quickly?
Do you want a deep, emotionally mature answer or my real answer?
Because I could go into a whole thing about how finally being able to express their feelings, be vulnerable with someone, and actually feel safe with each other was incredibly therapeutic. I mean, emotional intimacy? Communication? Trust? All very healthy and healing for them both.
But if you want my real answer? I think 90% of the problems they had before evaporated the moment they started making out. Like truly I just think heated kissing relieved the majority of the built-up tension and stress that they had going on. Because let’s be so serious, they had their first make-out sesh underwater that lasted approximately an eternity, then Percy described the next two weeks as the best of his life... So. I rest my case.
But if we want to stick with the fancy and emotionally mature version, that’s good too.
This isn't even a hot take, but Percabeth weren't smart x dumb. They weren't even book smart x street smart. They were strategic x strategic. Their minds worked in very similar ways that complimented eachother. It's why they were such great friends, it's why they were a formidable team, hell, it's why they could fight a war against a deity with an army of forty fricking kids and win. They shared their braincells, in the most beautiful sense of the phrase and THAT'S why, for me, they're perfect together.
Yes! Can fans please stop saying percy is dumb.. cuz Percy is actually intelligent in his own way.
