Give To The Max Day 2013 | Project Healthy Smile

Today is Minnesota's Give To The Max Day!!!

Hollie Mae co-founded Project Healthy Smile (PHS), an all volunteer, U.S. based non-profit that provides oral health education and dental supplies to underprivileged children globally.

Today is the annual Give To The Max Day where MN non-profits and organizations raise awareness and help fund their causes. You can find the Project Healthy Smile (PHS) GIVEMN.org page HERE.

Tonight ballet's crème de la crème, Ballet Preljocaj is back at the Orpheum Theatre for And then, one thousand years of peace, an assiduous but not irrational reading of the Apocalypse. One should thus refrain from looking for images or clichés that illustrate, directly or referentially, Saint John's famous text.

Created in 2010 through a partnership with the Bolshoi Theatre, And then, one thousand years of peace envisions of the Book of Revelations through an interpretation by choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, DJ Laurent Garnier and Costume Designer Igor Charpurin.

Tonight beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

We're Back!

These trips inspire and connect us to our world and its amazing people! Project Healthy Smile is helping to raise funds for our next mission through a Silent Auction and Tanzanian Bazaar at The Music Box Theatre in Minneapolis in conjunction with Hope For Education Tanzania.

About: The mission of Hope For Education Tanzania is to provide education, health care and address employment concerns within the village of Pasua, Moshi, Tanzania, East Africa.

Over the past two years, Concordia College alumni and RE/MAX Results volunteers, together with their family and friends, have participated in several Mount Kilimanjaro charity treks. These individuals helped raised funds for the completion of classrooms at a preschool for orphaned and other vulnerable children (TAFCOM), established micro business loans for thirty women and men to obtain a life of independence, purchased five acres of land upon which to build the Minnesota Academy, contributed to Concordia College scholarships and provided 3,000 treated mosquito nets for area children.

Aegis Foundation's 4th Annual High Heel Dash

Have you and your team signed-up for the most stylish race in town?

The 4th Annual Aegis Foundation High Heel Dash invites both men and women to show off their glamorous athletic prowess for a great cause!

On Wednesday, August 14th at Target Plaza in Downtown Minneapolis contestants will compete against each other in 25-yard dash heats wearing heels 3 inches or taller.

Heats will start at 6:00pm to give you time to leave work and dash to Nicollet Mall & 11th for a great party!

Best team competition - Think you have what it takes to walk the catwalk? This is your time to show your team spirit and your shoes! Winner will be chosen by crowd applause.

Costumes are encouraged but not necessary.

24th Annual Polo Classic

This past weekend I attended the 24th Annual Polo Classic at the Twin City Polo Club to benefit the University of Minnesota Equine Center. My fellow attendee and one of the "Best Dressed" at the event was my friend and fellow non-profit founder William Panzarella.

William and I enjoyed playing the part, relishing the spot-on attire, pampering Buffy & Muffy (our guests from Half Pint Horse Foundation) and I met and fell head-over-heels in love with the adorable Spot from Animal Ark (No-Kill) Shelter. Sundays are meant to help celebrate and inspire other great causes!

A Midsummer Night's Dream En Blanc

Dîner en Blanc (Dinner in white) began in Paris 25 years ago with a group of friends who met to fête (celebrate) with an impromptu dinner. Now a worldwide phenomenon, it was my pleasure to enjoy an evening of friends, food and bon vivant célébration at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
