Alex was excited, a bit worried, but happy they would get a definite answer now that they were at the doctors.
He tried to do his best to support Basha and held her hand throughout the whole thing, paying attention to the doctor’s words like he was supposed to.

Alex kept staring at the doctor, even after he had said ‘congratulations you are having a baby’. It seemed surreal and they could finally get started on something Alex was waiting for forever.
"Baby…" He echoed quietly, turning to Basha and smiling before wrapping his arms around her.
Basha held Alex close, grinning as she kissed his cheek. She never thought she’d be this excited to have a child, but there was always a part of her that thought that biologically wouldn’t be able to happen. But here she was.
"We’re having a baby," she said again.
"W-We are… We are…" Alex repeated as he kissed her on the lips, pulling away while still looking at her in adoration.
He couldn’t wait to get home and make a list of the things they needed for the baby, or think of names, or even paint the baby’s room…
Basha leaned against Alex as the doctor gave her a list of prenatal vitamins. It seemed like a lot of work but she was ready for this.
"We have so much to do.." She said to Alex as they left. "I mean.. We have time, but its just.. I’m so excited," she looked up at him, lacing her fingers with his.
"W-We need to get this… a-and then buy a crib…" Alex told her with a smile, a bit shocked, but looking more than happy about it. "I love you…"
"I love you too.." She said, grinning up at him. "We should probably start setting up the room soon. So we're not overwhelmed later."
